Happy1 Finally in CA from move

Just waned to let everyone know that I made it safe to CA from WV and have my computer back up. It was a 7 day drive with 7 kids and 2 cats but we are here in the house we are renting until our house sells in WV so we are praying it sells fast so we can buy and get settled. This house is half the size of our house in WV that we are renting and boxes are every where with no room to live. We don't plan on unpacking but what we have too so if our house sells we can buy and move fast into our new home. We are all stress living like this. I got rid of tons but guess not enough for a house half the size of our WV home so I might have to go threw after we buy our home here as I can't live with the house so full that we can't even move. The kids bunk beds and one dress is all that fits in their rooms no room for anything else not even their stuff so they are having real problem dealing with it.
One of our cats got out we still don't know how and went missing for 4 days I just found her last night thank goodness as it was really hard on my daughter who totally loves her and being in a new place. She is a indoor cat so I sure it was scarry for her and she is dirty and smelly so not sure where she has been. But so glad she is home.

Now, I have to figure out the grocery stores here it is a Food 4 Less, Rileys or something like that and a Safeway. I also have a Walgreen here that I didn't have in WV so have to learn that all over again as they have the points thing which is new since I lived in ID with Walgreen. So lots of new things to learn. O I have a Target and a Super Walmart in less than a mile from my house so will have to look at those deals too. I try grocery shopping at Walmart the other day and did awful got a few items and paid $50 not good at all.

Any how I here and need the deals as things are major expensive here so any one close to Stockton, CA any hints would be great.

Miss everyone.

I am so glad that you finally made it to your new location. It is a shame that the house your renting is so much smaller. I wonder if it would be feasible to get a storage unit to put some of the boxes in until your house sells so you will have room to move and function for the time being? It wouldn't hurt to see what the prices are on them. I am glad your computer is up and running again. Have missed not hearing from you.
I am glad you found the kitty. I bet she was scared being out and about in an unknown area.
Have you checked out schools for the kids yet? That will probably be difficult for them at first, but the school year is almost up, at least here anyway.
That was a long drive and I hope your getting rested up a bit. Take care of yourself!

LOL. The Temp was 102 and 104 our first weekend. I know it is a dry heat but well I was sweating like crazy. A women going threw hot flashes and my kids and husband thought it was funny that even here I sweat. LOL
I do have to say the fruit here is the BEST! The prices are great too on fresh veg. and fruit so that is a major plus as my kids love both.

We looked into a storage unit and the smallest is $77 a month and my husband said no way. I was so hoping to get the boxes out of here. He said get rid of more stuff and I said I didn't want to get rid of more until we bought as me and the kids gave up tons before we moved.
We have went to the school to check them out and the 2 that is in high school have meet their counselor and set up what classes they want to take.
My oldest who Graduated May 9th is looking for a job but so far nothing.

School starts here July 26th so real soon for them and I think it will help to get to be in school and get to know some kids as so far my youngest is the only one that has a friend across the street with a 5 year old and my youngest is 9 but it seems to work. They have a live in Nanny the family so it is interesting but I figured they are both enjoying having someone to play with as it seems no one else has kids here are might be on vacation if their is as it seems everyone is on vacation here. Which I totally get with them just getting out of school on May 30th and go back so soon.
Thanks!

Thanks! It will take time I sure to get use to different stores here and driving around here. It a little fast track or a lot fast track to WV. People going 80 and people going by you like you are not moving at all. Pretty scary for this country girl.
