Went to get Holly (our dog) from the vet last night. She pulled me really hard in the vet's office and my head almost went through a plate glass window. All I remember is her pulling, a pop, and her trying to lick my face and the vet & a tech helping me up. I literally shattered the window with my head. They called DH, he took me to walk in clinic. They wouldn't see me because I lost conscieness (sp). So DH took me to the Er and we spent about 4 hrs there. They did a ct which came back normal, put some antiseptic on my knee & sent me home. So, I have a huge bump on my forehead, a scrape up there, and the dr said that if I hadn't had my glasses on I probably would have went through it. It didn't break my nose, but it is swollen and cut. Both knees have gone down, but when it happened, both of them were the size of grapefruits. They are scraped really bad. So, after the impact my body feels like it was shot through a cannon. My eyes aren't black, but they do have dark rings under them and one is a little swollen.
I will be fine. The most important thing is Holly is ok. I stopped by the vet's office this morning to thank them and ask them if I needed to pay for the window. Vet said no - it was an accident - that's what he pays insurance for. He asked me how I felt and I just looked at him. He said "You're ok?" I said yes. He said "Well, that was a stupid question about how you feel. You probably feel like you got pulled through a plate glass window". I smiled and said that's exactly how I feel. The said they wanted to call this morning but thought I may be sleeping. They said Holly was acting as if she had done something wrong and they had been comforting her all day and night too.
I also found a huge bruise and bump on my shoulder this morning - I must have also hit the door frame.
