Default Bucket List

I've really spent a lot of time this week thinking about my bucket list.

What is on your bucket list?

This is what I have on mine so far:

1. See the Northern Lights

2. Explore the Smithsonian - not just run around and see stuff but really take my time to explore it.

3. See an active volcano erupt.

4. Build a log cabin house in the woods/mountain where it snows. I want vaulted ceiling with built in surround sound so I can blare Bach/Mozart or other music. I want a stockpile room and a gorgeous kitchen to cook in.

5. Go and listen to a professional orchestra or the ballet or the opera.

6. Learn to love me!

What about you? I know that I will add to this but these are the things that I really want to do before I die.

Fun! I don't have a list right now. I will have to think about it. But it doesn't involve traveling Europe. I mean I think that is fine, but I would rather do hiking right here in the US than tour cities in Europe. That is just a matter of preference, though.

My comment about Europe was because it seems that is what everyone has on their list, not based on anything you mentioned.

But in general, I would love to take a vacation to Hawaii, I'd love to spend time at some National Parks including the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone, but maybe more.

More than anything, I want to spend time with my kids and their future families. Family is the most important thing to me.

I love all that you have said! I think it would be awesome to live in a cabin near the Appalachian or Rocky Mountains. I would also love to go to Hawaii someday. One thing I'd love is to take a cooking class with my daughter. She loves to bake and I think we'd have a ton of fun doing this. I've always wanted to take a scenic train ride in the Canadian Rockies, Chile or someplace cool like that. Similar, but different, would be to take a cruise to Alaska.

I am sure I will add to this, but here is some....

1. I want to swim with the dolphins.

2. Visit Ireland.

3. Drive Cross Country with DH and the kids.

4. Visit and possibly live in Alaska.

I want to see the sun rise on the eastern most point of the continental US and set in the western most point (would love to do it on the same day, but I dont think it is possible). I want to camp on Isle Royale, drive the entire length of US 1 and travel to inside the Arctic Circle.

Let's go Maryland !!!

What a great bucket list, I have had one for about 5 years. Marking them off slowly, adding to the list too. Some of mine are very small tasks and others are much larger.

My husband and I both have bucket lists. Mine is constantly being added to when I see things I want to add to it...

1. Go on a cruise (crossing this one off in April!)
2. Swim with stingrays (crossing this one off in April!)
3. Swim with dolphins
4. Travel part of Route 66
5. Visit Salzburg and all the places where parts of Sound of Music was filmed.
6. Go to Niagara Falls
7. Cruise to Alaska
8. Retire to the mountains and live in a log cabin

There are more but that is the beginning of my list

I really have no desire to travel. I wanted to retire before I was 50. I will retire next month. I am 49. Like Mtnmamamj, I want to spend some time with my family. Right now all my immediate family is within 30 miles of me, except my stepdaughter who lives in Hawaii. I don't even want to travel there. I am pleased just going to the beach, which is less than 2 hours away. I have only see white sand beaches and I am not really interested in another kind. I live about equal distances between New Orleans and Atlanta. Just about anything my husband or I want to do can be found in these cities.

Ok you guys made me think of some more. I wouldn't mind traveling up to New England and Niagra Falls, but not sure if that is a must. I also think swimming with Dolphins would be pretty neat.
