Default Dear God......please tell me why
That will be my prayer tonight. I got a phone call from my good friend in Georgia. She is part of my gardening group that I have known for over 15 years and some of you may remember me posting back in September about our dear friend Joan losing her battle with cancer. She left behind her husband Joe and the light of her life, their only child Katie. Katie turned 18 this week. The day after her birthday, she was driving home, had stopped at an intersection, pulled out and somehow missed the tractor trailer coming right at her. She is gone.

Joe says he knows his Joan and Katie are together buy my gosh.....how can this man go on. My heart grieves so for him and I want to know why....why one good, kind, loving, Christian man should have to endure such loss as this at any time let alone this close together. I just don't think I personally could go on.

Keep Joe in your thoughts please and Katie's friends as well. They are so vulnerable and precious at this age. Hug your family and friends, let go of the petty grievances and just love each other. None of us knows when our day will come.

I am so sorry to hear for your loss and the loss of his daughter. I can't even imagine the pain he is going through. I hope he has some family left to lean on during this horrible time. I will add him in my prayers again. This seems so unfair for this poor man.

I am so very sorry. Nothing makes sense anymore, does it? I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers.

I have found comfort in reading a book published in the eighties. "When Bad Things Happen to Good People" by Harold Kushner is always on my nightstand. Maybe that could offer you a small bit of comfort too. Hugs to you and yours.
