Kroger has a freebie Friday where you can download a freebie every Friday. And, it works even better than SavingStar b/c the price is automatically deducted when you check out. No waiting for it to credit. Kroger also has lots of sweepstakes for Purina and P&G where it's fairly easy to score freebies. If you register your loyalty card, it's common for them to snail mail store Qs two to five or so times a year. My Kroger still doubles, but even if yours doesn't you can score some fantastic deals there. Check out Kroger Krazy - Use Extreme Couponing to save money on groceries! All Kroger Deals all Day! if you haven't already. I get a lot of Kroger info from that blog if it isn't on WUC first.

Congratulations again!!!
Great info - I had forgotten about the mailed coupons!! I remember that I would usually get two freebies, free dozen eggs and a free loaf of bread most times and who can't use that? Dd was at college, so she had her card and would mail me her coupons or I would even find a few in buggies here and there. The sweepstakes were good too and I remember winning several Pedigree dog treats for our lab.

We're not a military family. I grew up in a military household though.

You lucky lady that your Kroger still doubles! I'm signed up and have used a couple of the Friday Freebies. I used to kind look at the $5 wyb 5 deals that were posted sometimes. That's what I'm trying to figure out, but so far, I haven't seen any items that we need/want. Is there something I need to sign up for specifically to get snail mail coupons, or are they sent out automatically after I make an account and add my Kroger card?

I think you need to create an online Kroger account and link your Kroger loyalty card to it. You can add digital Qs there too.

I've been putting my Kroger card to good use lately. Today, I had my best trip ever. Got boxes of Kelloggs cereals for $.99 ea and Juicy Juice for $.94 ea along with some other cheap items. I saved 64%! I'm so excited. Going to use the rest of my coupons to get my boys more Juicy Juice.

I think you will really love it when Kroger has their Mega Sales! It's a good time to stock up, and with Q's, a lot of useful items are free. I live in Michigan, where Kroger used to double -- it was a big adjustment when they stopped, but there are still savings to be had. I found that I had to call and ask for the coupons they send in the mail. The nice thing about them is that they are reflective of your shopping, i.e., if you have bought pasta or beans or Kleenex or whatever from them, your coupons will be for those items.

Oh my goodness, thank you! I was wondering how people received those coupons. I couldn't find a way to sign up. Thanks to the most recent mega sale, I was able to get my sons Apple & Eve juice packs for as low as $.49. I could never even get them that cheap at Harris Teeter! So I'm definitely enjoying Kroger at this point. They also usually have a plethora of marked down meat.

Oh, here's an update for everybody. My 5 year is starting PreK Monday! He's a bit late, but he'll get at least 2 months until it ends which is better than nothing. He's also registered to start Kindergarten in September!

There's an amazing office here that offers many classes for people with disabilities, so my sister has been a very busy lady. I'm hoping she'll continue to improve socially and make friends. We also recently attended a bowling party sponsored by the Down Syndrome Association of our area, so she was able to see other people like her. This Monday, I'm signing her up for 7 different activities that will keep her busy until June.

As for me, I'm STILL waiting on my instructor to verify my course completion, so I still do not have my EMS certification, but between my sister and my boys, I'm still a pretty busy lady.
