Yay!1 walking and stalking

Ok, so today I went to Randallís and did some walking and stalking. I am just starting to shop there instead of HEB so I kind of wanted to get a feel for the store, people, layout and prices. I wasnít really shopping too much since they didnít have much in the ad that I wanted did get some:

Colgate .99
Olay double pack of bars 2.49
Mazola Oil on 50% clearance for 1.90 (first bottle I picked up was out of date other was fine)
Used
.50/1 Colgate
$2/1 Olay
.50/1 Mazola

paid 1.42 with tax

Anyways I also found a couple of items that were reduced for quick sale and someone from another post had asked me to post them if I found some so here they are.

Colgate Whitening 4.6 oz 1.49
LíOreal Kids Ė Toy Story 1.74
Pert Plus for Men 3-in-1 12 oz 1.49
Garnier Shampoo wonder waves 1.99
Olay Regenerist derma pod eye system 15.99
Olay Definity moisturizer 19.88
Olay Definity restoration treatment 19.88

Ok some are good prices some are high the only reason I posted the Olay was because of the recent qís and I think the Olay MIR is still going on if you havenít gotten it yet.

Hope you are all able to find some of these great deals and many more at your stores!

Blessed Be

I was in Safeway today and saw the Colgate 3D White strips for sensitive teeth reduced for quick sale. I believe originally it was $40, give or take, marked down to $29 and change. If you go online, they have a $10 off coupon to add to your Safeway card and there was a $5 off coupon in the paper maybe 2 weeks ago? So you'd end up paying $15 for a $40 item, not bad

Recently Safeway made changes and do not allow you to use paper coupons with loaded coupons. When you have a coupon loaded to your Club Card and you use a paper clipped coupon the cashier will see the loaded coupon on the screen and their new system tells the cashier there is a coupon already being used. I usually forget what coupons I have loaded and when this happens they hand the coupon back and show me on the screen that I have a coupon loaded already.

It worked for me yesterday. I had lots loaded on my card. My total was $163. Then I entered my card and it went down to $117. Then I gave my coupons and all were taken with nothing appearing on screen prompting the cashier (trust me, I was watching, lol!) and my total went down to $80. I even asked customer service before I did my shopping and they told me it was ok. The way they explained it to me is that the coupons on the card, even though are technically manufacturer's coupons, are considered Safeway coupons. Reason being, they are only deals for Safeway, and they are on the Safeway card, not in hand, so they can't be used anywhere else. Maybe it's a regional thing?

Oh, ok. I hope this true for me also. Thanks for the info.

I copied this from the last updated Safeway Coupon Policy.

Coupon Stacking:

21. Safeway does not allow a customer to redeem two or more manufacturer coupons against the same item in a single transaction.

22. Coupon stacking policies for manufacturer coupons apply to paper and electronic coupons that have been loaded to a club card.

23. If a customer presents two coupons for the same item in a single transaction, Safeway will give the highest discount for that item, subject to the terms of the applicable offer and/or coupon.

I'm in Houston and usually do HEB too, but have been checking out Randall's a little more. Have you made any more purchases there/seen any other benefits to making a switch?
