OMG!!! The Food Network Called!! Update post #75
Omg.... I am still in shock. Some of you know that I am a chef and I own a restaurant. We have been open for 16 years. We have fantastic customers that really love us. We are truly lucky.
First off this week, Allan Handleman has a best of call in.. We were mentioned several times. Someone even called in with our telephone number! Needless to say we were swamped for the week, with all new customers and we loved it. Yesterday, I got a call from the review staff of the Food Network!!! The show, "drive-ins, diners and dives" starring Guy Fieri is interested in doing a show featuring my restaurant! I think I almost peed my pants. This would be a huge honor, and hopefully a lot of fun! The problem is I am so shy its almost painful. I really have to force myself to interact with others and I know I am going to have a problem with doing an entire show about myself and my restaurant! Help! Way to go! Sounds great! I'm kinda shy too. My husband's elderly great aunt used to take a drag on her cigarette and then shout, "WHY YOU SO QUIET, JILL?" Scared me to death.

Ok, first of all get some Depends. Nothing worse than peeing in front of all of those camera men. Wait, that shouldn't be first of all, this should: CONGRATS!!!!! This is an incredible honor. Don't have a drink to calm you because it may lead to a couple more shots and then you will be really loopy for the show. You can do this. Just take a deep breath. You know that your place is like your child. You are proud of it, you just share your pride with the rest of us via television. Pretend that is us there with you. You are comfy with us. We love you and you can do it
