Default What are your New Year's resolutions?

Every year I like to make a few resolutions. In years past I have resolved to quit smoking but have never followed through with the attempt. This year is different! I WANT to quit and I think that will make all of the difference in the world. I called my doctor today and I go in on Thursday morning to discuss my options and to see what will best work for me.

So, tell me, what are YOUR resolutions?

Good luck on your resolution! You can do it!

I'm going to try and get in bed before 11:00 pm each night. It is hard when I have to get up early, to not be so tired because I stayed up too late. I think getting enough rest will help in all my facets in life.

* I started my journey of weight loss two years ago. I've traded shopping for groceries at Target and mostly at my grocer for Whole Foods. What a taste difference with non-GMO, organic products. I want to shed the last remaining few pounds and continue to eat a healthier diet.

* I became allergic to products containing SLS in 2013. I've removed the last of the SLS from my stockpile. It is my goal to make my own product when needed. I made my own facial scrub last night with sugar, freshly cut lemon and organic coconut oil. Time to detox my body.

* Continue with my language studies moving towards fluency.

* Donate bi monthly to a charity. Continue to shop 75% off plus sales for donation to Toys for Tots and Salvation Army Angel Tree.

* Save aggressively.

* Get enough sleep.

I usually don't make resolutions but need to this year. My life feels it is out of control. I am going to try to
-exercise regularly. I would say daily, but with my crazy schedule, it just isn't possible. Do you think 3 to 4 times per week would be helpful?
- cook healthier meals with more fresh produce. This will benefit my entire family of poor eaters
-try to be more organized at work so I have less to bring home each night, giving me more time for household upkeep and exercise
- pay down as much debt as possible by being vigilant about where we spend. We waste small amounts in so many ways that with effort, I think we can pay off our debt in 2years.
Maybe most importantly, I am going to try to be a more positive person. I have slipped into negativity and I do not like how it makes me feel.
Sorry such a long post
Happy New Year to each of you!

Exercising 3-4 a week is great and will do you a world of good! And when you exercise regularly, it also )for me anyways) helps me feel better which in turn helps me have a more positive outlook on so many aspects of my life! Good luck to you, it sounds like with the positive changes you are making, you will feel more in control in no time!!

I only have one this year and that's to be happier. I have become somewhat depressed in the last couple years and I don't like it. It's very difficult to find a job and that has been the main problem but I have decided that job or no job we are surviving and still have our home and have nice clothing and plenty of food so I am going to "therewith be content!"

Happy New Year to each of you!
Great goals, you have listed.

I find that when I'm tired and worn out that is when my defenses are down and I feel crappy which produces a negative attitude. When I have changed how I eat, exercise (Just doing spurts during the day), and get lots of sleep that I feel better. I notice this a lot in kids when they are grouchy it is usually when they need more sleep. I can pick it each time.

Much luck and happiness for the new year!

I'm sorry that it hasn't been easier for you in the last couple of years. You are doing what you can to support your family and I'm sure it is good. Just know that the one above is watching over you and does care how you are doing. One way to get out of feeling depressed is to help others. It has been amazing to me when I have actually looked beyond my troubles and have just reached out to others that I feel better. Even just giving someone a smile. Remember "This Too Shall Pass". Just take one day at a time! Sometimes this just helps to get through the day.

Much luck and happiness to you this coming year!

Mine is a continuation from last year: to speak up more for myself. I was successful last year considering beforehand I NEVER spoke up for myself, but I have much room for growth. It helps 1) to keep people from using me and 2) to learn how to deal with my almost crippling anxiety whenever I realize I may have to engage in a confrontation.
