So I made my first trip using coupons at Walmart cuz its really the biggest supermarket in this town and the closest one to my house. So next time I will hit up the small supermarket and see what kind of deals I can get there. But anyway....I had my list of everything I really had to get and then also brought my organizer in case I saw some other things that were on sale and would make for a great deal. It was all too much to list individually but my total before coupons came to 134.89 and then the total after coupons was 67.57. WOW was I amazed....I saved half my money on that trip. I couldnt believe it as my total kept getting smaller and smaller. It was kind of long waiting for the dang cashier to scan each coupon cuz she would stare at each one like they were written in another language and would ask me on certain ones if I remembered getting that item or not...DUH I wouldn't have given you a coupon for it if I had not gotten the item. And it would beep if it wasn't an item I purchased. LOL. And then when they were more technical like buy 2 save $1.00 should would ask me do you remember buying 2...OMG I was getting really fustrated and then the people behind me I could also tell were getting fustrated. But after that I was very happy with all the money I saved. And DH was especially happy when I got home and told him our savings. It was a great day for me yesterday.

awesome trip!! walmarts so hard since they dont double to save that much!!! Congrats on the savings. ITs an awesome rush to get a total that low.

awesome job!! what i do is i try and remember which cashiers are slow like that for the future...and i just don't go back to them. at each of my stores i shop at i have favorite cashiers. i will wait in a longer line just so they can check me out. hassle free transactions beat a shorter wait any day.

Unfortunately some people try to sneak in coupons for items they didn't get or sneak in expired ones or ones that they only bought 1 item instead of 2 or how many. People like that ruin it for the rest of us. That's why many cashiers act like that. Others just don't need to be working with the public period.

So keep on saving like you did! You Did great!!!

I can see why some of the cashiers would be sure to check everything with wat u stated. It is sad how some people try to do things with the coupons and therefore ruin it for everyone else. I guess we just gotta be a lil patient with em.

Ditto that. I don't go to Wal-Mart nearly as much as I used to, but it is a great place to use those higher value coupons. I personally stock up on the Macaroni Grill meal boxes there, b/c it's $2-$2.50 after a $1 coupon. Those of you with stores that always round up or double $1 coupons don't realize how good you have it!

Yea if only Walmart did double coupons than we could really be saving some bucks. But they do have some really good prices on food stuff. And I will definitely be checking out the local little grocery stores we have jus to compare the prices and see where I can double my savings at. This is really addicting
