So i went to Rite Aid to get the Keri Lotion on sale for $5.99 use $5.00 coupon in the circular and pay $.99. Well they were sold out so i got a raincheck....
I went to Walmart to price match the lotion I was told by the manager that they do not price match in store coupons and since the ad also says wellness members only (which I am.... and what does that have to do with it?)..also the mngr said he works or worked at Rite Aid so he knows both policies and he cannot sell me the lotion for that price.... the cashier also mentined along with price match they cannot accept manufacture coupons anyway its either one or the other......HELLO why does Walmart advertise price matching in their commercials then their staff make up up excuses as to why they can't sell it to you for the advertised price....I'll be damned If i have to pay $8.99 for a 10 oz lotion... |

I'd call Corp....I've had to in the past and have got a call back with the store manager (2 different times)....an apology and a 20.00 gift card. There is no reason they shouldn't price match that! I've even had a lady once tell me about not being able to price match Safeway because they have a club card....The manager agreed and told me she was wrong and said she used to work at Safeway herself....and CVS also had a card and we price match them as well....Your store manager just needs to be educated.

They could price match the $5.99 but can't take the $5 off rite aid q. A competitor q has to have the actual sale price of the item in order for Walmart to match it. They can't take $/off or %/off competitors qs.

I'm sorry I missed the coupon being a store coupon...I agree I don't think they are allowed to take that. Price match should be ok.

An in-store coupon with a specified price on it can be price matched. ¢-$-% off store coupon cannot be used at Walmart.

Sorry about that OP but pps are correct, WM does not match cents/dollars off an item and I understand because of huge price difference between drugstore prices and their mark ups. For instance, I was looking at the Omron digital BP monitor marked 99.99 @ WAG with a $30 in-ad Q making it 69.99. When I checked price @ WM, it was 65.99 so if they take the $30 store Q, it is not a fair match because WAG's base price is way higher to start with.
