I just finished putting my coupon binder together and was too excited to use it at my grocery store for the first time. I knew it was going to save a lot of time.

Well, guess again. I got stopped literally 6 times and asked about the binder. People didn't just ask, but wanted to hold conversations. I was proud and excited to talk about it the first couple of times, but when I noticed the time I was back where I started time wise before the binder.

My question is how do you deal w/ this?

IT will save you more time than you realize in the long run. You could also try to shop at other times when the store is less busy if its possible

i love being ask, but i do shop really early in the morning so i dont get asked a lot of questions... if i am going to run in for one or two small things, i just grab my coupons out of the binder and put them in my pocket ( only if i am in a hurry)

I have a few responses ready to talk about my binder - these conversations typically only take a minute. If they go on longer, I smile politely, tell them I really need to "get back to saving" and push my cart away.

When people see your binder, it's like a lightbulb goes off in their head. Those interruptions will happen. Over and Over - but like schatz said - you will save a TON in the long run, and that is your #1 goal.

Thanks everyone. I like talking about it too, I get so excited, then I notice how long I've been talking to the person and I just want to say, "Hey, don't you see how much stuff I'm buying, that means I have kids I have to get back too!" LOL

I get these questions all the time at Walgreens. I just explain that I love to save money and than give them some coupons that I am not using that day. I have actually had a woman pick up my binder and go through it. LOL

I usually Smile politely and say Thank you or in the mist of answering their Questions I Keep walking or continuing what I am doing as to look busy while all the while keeping the convo short and sending the message I am kinda busy here

Smile and hand them a WUC card. Tell them they can do this too.

Yes, i do alot of walking and talking and telling them how i have one hour to shop each day before i pick my kids up from daycare!

That's EXACTLY what i do!!! I generally try to keep it short....but last sunday I had a half hour convo with some .

Some people are just amazed but it can get time consuming especially if your in a hurry
