yes. I have it. It does work. The caller id does not come up on the phone it comes up on the computer screen, that's the only draw back for me. You do get free long distance anywhere. You can check your messages from any phone with a password that you set.

That is the only problem with living in the country where the sun shine is brought in no DSL..oh well when I am old and gray maybe they will get DSL down here.

How do you get your phone number? Is it preset or do you have to call someone and ask them what number is on their caller id?

DH plans to switch to magicjack once the option to keep the current phone # is an option... Then, if we move out of the area... We'll have no troubles keeping the # we've had for years.

We have it. The only thing once and while since we moved here the calls just drops for some reason if you talk to long I said but I just call them back. LOL Plus right now they don't have a number for WV or they didn't when we moved here which was fine we got a VA number so now my parents can call me FREE and my parents are loving it. Other than that it GREAT!

Hmm, maybe they have a WV number now since they are being sold at OD in WV?

Yes, we bought it here too a new one but unless they did in the last few weeks they still dont' have a WV number so I would chekc into that if you want a WV number before buying it.

When you plug in the magic jack it will go through the set up process and you put in your area code and it will bring up available numbers. The really nice feature about this is if you move your number goes anywhere you do so you never have to get a new number.

Thanks all! I was wondering how it all worked. If they dont have a WV or OH number then I cant do it yet. Too many family member who do not have free LD.

I was wondering about this bc we have been without a phone for a longgg time now (Ok, like 2 weeks or so? cant remember now ) and Verizon wont be fixing it until the 26th or 25th. AND it is a problem on THEIR side.

Im annoyed and need a phone!
