Hi. I'm Sandy. I eat 99% organic foods with the other 1% being natural foods. I use mostly green products for cleaning etc. I am an avid coupon user and save tons doing so! I rarely buy things without a coupon! I love riding trains and sharing coupons and deals! I have a very small house, but I still manage to stockpile so that I can help keep the cost down as much as possible.

I was hoping to meet other organic greenies like myself on this site, but it seems that this part of the site is seldomly used? lol hmmm

Welcome Sandy!

I hope this section of the site builds up too. It's been slow going.

Hi! Count me in in trying to live organically. I don't have a yard unfortunately but my father has a big garden that he grows every year. I'm trying to learn how to preserve and can so I can save alot of it. My toddlers drink organic milk and we use organic cleaning products. Since I'm in Texas I can find what I need at either HEB or Target (amazingly). I also have a couple of health stores in town that are completely organic as well. I wish I could do more organic living than we do but it is hard with the price and our amount of bills. (Silly student loans).

Any suggestions? I have a hard time with finding organic coupons and really saving money on it.

Oh, and my home definitely recycles and uses reusable bags!

I would love to try and do more! Right now, we don't have a yard so no gardening as of yet, but I always had a garden growing up. I planted a LOT in our small little garden and we always had so much at the end of the season. I loved canning and freezing it all for eating later. This past year I did can some blueberry jam that I made with blueberries that I bought at a local farm but that was the extent of my canning. Hoping that once we have our own place we will have a little yard where I can put in a garden. Until then, we will continue to shop at our local farmers markets in the summer. I also love the idea of making my own cleaners and such but I haven't had the time to do much research. Anyone have any links to some great websites for these recipes? Never composted, would love to but haven't yet.

Jen Mom of 4 - I just started my garden this past summer. I plan to really build it up this coming summer though. At the end of last summer I put in a couple raised beds, but I think this year I'll be getting rid of some grass for a bigger garden. Cheapest way to eat organic produce is to grow it yourself!

Have you thought of container gardening? You know, just some flower type pots. They are great for growing bush tomatoes or peppers etc. Container gardening is great for people that don't have space or live in apartments and things. I've seen some really nice ones on TV, too!

As far as getting coupons, contacting the company directly is a great way! I just go to their website, go to their contact us link and tell them I love their product and ask for coupons. They are usually very generous and even send Free coupons!

Also I love organic/natural coupon trains. It really does help enormously! My grocery bill is great for eating 99+% organics.

Stockpile, stockpile, stockpile!!!

I definitely recycle and use totes.

I do I do! i have a garden ..but here in Phx i struggle to make it work.

Make my own detergent, and cloth diaper, cloth wipes, etc. I use my own dishwasher detergent that I make too.

I get a TON of organic coupons, you have to write the companies They're VERY willing to send, and most of the time very generous.

8th continent soy milk is by far the most generous!
