I am with you! Most cleaners or air fresheners give me a headache and I would love to know where to buy essential oils cheap. I had read somewhere that you can make your own would love to know how to make lemon as that is my favorite scent.

Do you use essential oils? Any good ones you wish to share about?
I would like a suggestion for an all natural one that I can put in my vinegar cleaning mixture but is completely safe to spray counters around food?

I know this is an old thread but I'm curious if anyone has used essential oils for anxiety and/or sleeping? My husband has been dealing with severe anxiety for 9 months now. Someone suggested essential oils to help with his anxiety and his sleeping but I know nothing about this so I'm trying to research.

Has anyone had any success with using essential oils for either of these conditions? How do you use them? For a muscle rub? Smelling? In food? Thanks for the input!

Lavender oil (aroma therapy) is good for this,
and chamomile tea might help too.

Thanks!

I'm looking at ordering Melissa (Lemon) oil, Lavender oil and patchouli oil for this situation. Aside from all the Rx the dr prescribes (and don't work!), I figure this can't hurt, even if it doesn't help..... Hopefully it helps though!

Any scent from the mint family also reduces anxiety. It certainly works for me and it is very easy to find! Would your husband take OTC sleeping pills? I know it's a controversial issue, but they work well for me. I have a high stress job and am a caretaker and the only way I can turn myself "off" is to take a pill. They don't make me feel groggy or cause me any problems. Might help him as well. Good luck!

Default I love essential oils!

I use a rose geranium/citronella mix on my dog's collar and base of his tail for tick prevention (and on me when I'm out in the field).

I use lemon or orange with tea tree oil in my dishwasher powder mix (baking soda, citric acid powder) and tea tree and lavender in my bathroom cleaner mix (baking soda, citric acid powder).

There are so many uses for them. I love being able to use natural products instead of chemicals.

I love the smell of lavender and bought a small bottle of oil at a lavender festival in July. I just bought a SpaRoom® Essentials Aromafier™ Portable Fragrance Diffuser last week and had to order this at the store or it can be purchased online. My store didn't have this in stock. It works great and I added a few more oils that I got at Natural Grocers that were only $3.79 each. I added orange and eucalyptus. I was able to use the 20% off mailer coupon when I ordered at Bed Bath & Beyond and got free shipping.

I put a little lavender oil on my dog's collar. She hasn't had fleas for quite some time.
Thinking of adding a few more oils but not sure what to get yet.

If you get essential oils - make sure you get PURE oil and not one that has extras mixed in..... Young Living Oils are pure, and they work great. I have used several for pain (headache and muscle ache).

Digging out of debt, 1 coupon at a time.....
