Default Welcome to the Organic & Natural Living Forum!!

Woohoo!!

For those of us who are going organic in our foods or natural with our products (hba, cleaning, etc.)... WUC now has this wonderful new forum for all of us to share in.

This forum is for sharing deals at organic, natural, and whole foods stores such as:

Earthfare
Greenlife Grocery
Whole Foods
Fresh Foods
and more.

If you find a deal on any organic products (with coupons or not).. this is the place to share it.

Also, we can share tidbits and news info in here that relates to the organic and natural products, or anything else along these lines.

I'll be your forum leader for this new forum. Feel free to post, share, etc.

If you need help, have questions, or whatever.. just give me a shout. I'm new on this journey to a more healthy lifestyle but we garden (no pesticides or herbicides), we raise our own chickens (no hormones or antibiotics) for meat and eggs, and I have made homemade cleaners in the past and will be going back to that. I even took the "no poo" challenge which did not go over so well with my oil prone hair that is very fine. I'm going to be doing a different version of the "no poo challenge" again soon.

So come on in, share your great deals, your triumphs in going organic and natural, and anything else along those lines!

The no poo challenge is where you don't use shampoo for a while but instead use baking soda/water mixture for shampoo and vinegar/water mixture for the conditioner/rinse.

Regular Shampoo really is a harsh substance to use on our hair. It strips it of its natural oils. When you shampoo too much you can actually damage your hair, making it frizzy because it's dried out. Conditioners don't really help all that much to add the moisture back into your hair because it's not the natural oils that your hair needs.

There are numerous websites out there along with bloggers who have posted about their no poo challenge.

I remember reading this one: My Personal No ‘Poo Challenge « and this one How to Go No Poo

Albeit I did the "No Poo Challenge" for a little bit my hair is so thin that it looked horrible and I gave up and washed it with shampoo. Dh on the hand, well his hair looked really good. Figures.
