Sometimes Pinecone will send an email encouraging you to invite another person to become a member. I've only gotten two of these emails in the past four years I've been doing the surveys with them. And none of the folks I invited were picked. I was bummed b/c I thought it was a sure thing. But, nope. If I ever get another one I'll be sure to let you know.
Thank you SO VERY MUCH! If you don't mind, I will just PM you my email address. :-)

Wow, I have never had a household question survey take more than 3 minutes. No, I have never heard of it going up above $3.

I have to say that the one thing I love about PR is that I am never not paid after doing a survey. For so many I would do it and get to the end and be told I didn't qualify.

Qualifiers do not have a number associated with them. Now, the surveys are usually 15 - 20 minutes for me and I ALWAYS get paid. When I did my 2 surveys this week, I was credited the $3 in less than 24 hours, which is faster than it has even been.

CF, right now I have $48 in my account and that has been since February. In January, I cashed out $63 so if you leave it in there, it's safe. Also, I have never heard of them dumping anyone. Now, if you don't do the qualifiers or take longer than they recommend on the surveys, you won't get as many offers. I think the reason I have been doing better is that I do my best to answer everything I get the day I get it. After all, we are talking less than one hour a month at the most.
Oh, they definitely dump people. I believe the info is still on their website. It isn't meant to be rude or a punishment, sometimes the person just no longer meets their needs which is understandable. They may also dump you if you miss a lot of surveys.

Like you, I do the surveys right away and stay on top of things I've never missed a single one. For me, the qualifiers are getting really long I started timing it and spent 15 minutes on one (dogs, dog food, etc) and 20 minutes on another (makeup, shampoo, skincare). The questions were starting to resemble the ones I used to get paid for which is why I brought up the issue. I'm guessig hopetoberich just experienced the same one I did. It was extraordinarily long and asked tons of beauty questions the likes you'd normally be paid for. I think their partnership with Nielsen is messing things up a bit. Nielsen is notorious for underpaying people.

With any side earning gig, I recommend cashing out as soon as the money credits. This is important w/ Bing rewards, Amazon Turk, Swagbucks, or even Pinecone. If you're ever dropped you'll likely lose that money. It's not a good idea to use these companies as a savings bank. It can go poof at any time. If the company goes under, Superppoints anyone???, then you'll lose the money too. It just isn't worth the risk.

Well, have you ever done an informational household survey and not gotten a survey that paid soon after? I used to do the household surveys that were general questions like do you own a dog and if so how many. Then, a few days later I'd get a paid survey about dog food. That was fine w/ me. Took a few minutes to do the general info stuff Easy peasy. Well, now I'm doing 5 informational surveys that are very long and specific, but I'm only getting one paid survey out of it.

The informational surveys are becoming like Swagbucks surveys and Mysurvey surveys. Check off all the shampoo companies you've heard of. In the last 6 months which shampoos have you bought? In the last 3 months which shampoos have you bought. Out of these, which did you buy the most often? At what store do you usually shop? Now, do that for skin care, makeup, nail polish, body wash, and perfume and you 'll see what I mean. It is never ending and tedious for unpaid work.

I also get a lot of the exact same questions. I've stated how many cats I have and how many dogs I have. Five questions later, why do you ask me again? Do you think I'm cheating and lying? Do you not trust me to know how many creatures I have? Are you ignoring my answer?

And, my last complaint is that I'm getting asked to do webcam surveys more frequently, even though I've stated I'll never be comfortable doing them. To me, a webcam is more intrusive and certainly not worth $3 bucks.

But w/ my complaints I'll still agree that Pinecone is the best survey group out there. Not sure if it's b/c they are so great, or if the other companies are just so terrible.

I didn't mean to respond three times...yikes! Hopetoberich, I'm thrilled to hear it isn't just me that this is happening to. I hope that doesn't foreshadow what's to come in the future w/ Pinecone. Fidder, I'm thankful it's still working out for you and you've given me hope that things might get better.

Exactly CB! Just what I have been getting from them too.
I stopped filling out the unpaid surveys as I call them....and do get some $3 ones a couple times a month BUT they want me to have flash player and my tablets don't support that so I have to miss those surveys.

$3 is such a tiny amount to to pay anyone for their time. They should be offering at least $5 IMO.

I have done the household question surveys and not qualified for a survey after that. I have also gotten surveys that I didn't do a qualifier for - maybe my age, number/age of children, location automatically qualified me, I don't know.

I don't have a webcam and even if I did, I wouldn't do those surveys - I had never even heard of them.

As for the same questions over and over, I am assuming the company we are doing the survey for writes their own questions or PR doesn't want to have to look up the info for thousands of people when they can simply ask us again.

I'll have to time my household survey the next time I get one, but for me, I'm getting fewer of those and the regular paid surveys are just showing up.

It would be incredibly easily to do just that actually. Just takes some computer code a few if then statements and they'd have their sample. But, I understand why they don't. People might be distracted during the questions or maybe their lives have changed recently and that needs accounted for. So, I don't mind this.

What I'm talking about is asking the same exact question w/ the same exact options to select in the same exact household informational survey. For me, it always happens during the dog stuff. Nothing is worded differently and the options are same. At first, I thought it was a glitch, but now it routinely happens so I guess it's just part of it now. If you've taken a survey about pets recently, you should have experienced this issue. 12 of the questions were repeats. Now, I guess PR might thin my lifestyle changed in those 2 minutes between questions, but it's hard to imagine that I lost or acquired another dog in such a short period or that I ran out and bought another dog food quicker than a commercial break.

I also used to get many more surveys than I did household informational surveys. I don't know why it's switched up since it only seems to be happening to a few of us. Maybe it'll smooth out. I hope so b/c I've certainly enjoyed my time there. The webcam issue started after it was asked in the household survey--something like "do you have a webcam?" I'm guessing you said "no" if you got that one and that's why you aren't being hit up to do them. I won't do them either but I do get asked a lot. Though, they've been very nice about not forcing the issue. I still get surveys whether I webcam the survey or not and was told that it was okay to decline the webcam invitations.
