I've also bought an HP Fitness Planner so I can log everything I eat/drink so I get a good look at what I'm eating and how I can make it healthier. Yeah, this is gonna be the hard one for me so I have to make little changes at a time or I'll quit, I like food too much to just say "no more sugar, no more processed foods, no more . . . "
Good Luck everyone!
Logging everything is REALLY helpful. Several months ago, I started writing down everything I ate daily in a food journal, good or bad. I know some people might think that's too obsessive, but for me it was really helpful to see patterns in my eating habits. I know there are apps people use to that make logging easy like MyFitnessPal.
Congrats on pledging to do a 30 challenge. I hope you will find time to post about how it is going
One tip that might help you to stick to it....If you have a wall calendar (or you can print a January monthly calendar on a piece of paper), mark down every day that you meet your goal with a sticker or an X or a star or something. Make sure the calendar is somewhere you see every day. Seeing your streak build will motivate you to stick to it, you won't want to have a blank day!
And just remember if you do "fall off the wagon" you can always start a new streak
