Hi gals me and DS2 went to mommy and me fitness, just did plank challenge day #5. Tomorrow is rest day. I didn't have any energy drinks yesterday or today so I'm 2 days strong lol. I've been eating healthier, not amazingly healthy or anything but I've been making an effort to get in a healthy bfast this week and it def makes the day go better as far as eating junk goes.

What type of things do y'all do at Mommy and me fitness classes? I've never been very social or felt any need to have "mom friends", but I've considered joining stuff like that sometimes so my kids can be around other children. Suck up my anti-socialness for their benefit LOL

This one is mainly aerobics, squats pushups type etc and jogging but they have all kinds out there, I used to do mommy and me yoga when DS1 was tiny and that was my favorite but normally there's a ton of other free/cheap/fun stuff for little ones to get interaction, think like story time, community centers, playgrounds etc this one just has the added benefit of exercise!! I had a friend that joined YMCA so she could workout alone and drop her kid in the care area while she worked out so she could get interaction..and she loved going!! My Zumba teacher is even teaching classes at an indoor playground on the days I don't go, it's too pricey for me but the kids can play while the moms do exercise.

Do the kids work out alongside y'all, or they're running around doing their own kiddie things while y'all work out? I take my youngest to preschool story time every Tuesday, but he sits as far away from the other kids as possible and doesn't talk. He's pretty much exactly how my siblings and I were as children, so you reap what you sow I guess LOL. When I take them to the park, my oldest will play with other children, but my youngest runs around by himself doing his own thing.

They run and play and if they are having trouble the mom who leads the workout will incorporate them into the moves lol!! As far as the kiddos being more reserved I think they are born with their personalities I have one that's social and one that takes a while to feel comfortable and that's fine, just do what you can to help him before school starts, my DS1 still very shy but still really enjoys preK and has made friends, when he was smaller he would scream if a kid started trying to play w him on the playground, now he just plays with them.

Since somebody asked if cleaning burns calories lol but I'd much rather workout!! I chased my kiddos around the playground and cleaned for 2 1/2 hours that counts as staying active on a day off!!

I am also trying the plank challenge...I am on day 7. Today, I did weights. Really tired from working in the yard yesterday (that's counts as exercise, right? ).

I agree, yard work is definitely a workout.

I hope the temp warms up so I can clean up my yard. I tried something new in the yard and decided I do not like it and have to redo my back yard.

I've had allergies bothering me so I'm being on my plank challenge, but trying to catch up. Problem with not starting at the beginning of the month is that I forget which day I'm on. LOL
