Zumba this morning, day 13 of plank challenge was rest but the teacher made us do 1 min 15 sec plank and some ab exercises after the class, poor DS2 was sick so he sat in the stroller and played tablet, I am trying to get my workouts in just in case I catch their bug!!

(HA) so I bought a pair of yoga/running pants that say"Run like you blinked" with a weeping angel. (Best Dr. Who episode EVER!). If nothing else they make me happy.

I think I need to give up another bad habit this month just not sure what. Any suggestions?

Good luck all!
That episode scared me more than a horror movie LOL!

For now, I've been focusing more on what I eat rather than working out. I felt some slight uncomfortable twinges in my lower abdomen, so I decided to wait until my 6 week check up and get the all clear before attempting even light exercises.

Was supposed to have surgery on the 5th, but there has been insurance issues with the surgeon's office. Been getting tons of run around from the insurance person, which unfortunately is requiring me to have a lawyer get involved. Will get a new surgery date when it gets sorted out.

Sucks as I had bought some perishable food for a friend who was coming from out of state to help me for a couple of weeks. Bought the food specifically for him and I don't like the items, so the food will most likely end up in the trash. Not to mention I've having to deal with the physical issues that much longer that are the reason for having the surgery.

My grandmother has Stage 4 cancer that has spread to her bones. My grandfather (her husband) has Alzheimer's and rarely gets out of bed anymore. When I visited them in late Match, their 17 year old cat was very ill and ended up dying of kidney failure while I was there.

I have had major depression and anxiety for many years, but it's been worse lately due to these things. I'm trying to keep occupied by playing with my cat, watching Netflix/Amazon, and doing reward apps/surveys for $$. Started taking late night walks to clear my head without the hustle and bustle of the day, especially political talk which is plentiful given I live in DC.

Why is it that my motivation is an all time low during the end/beginning of every month? Last 4 days were a struggle then today I wake up ready to conquer the world.

I'm currently on a walk but got a little lost. So I'm sitting on a park bench in the middle of the bike trail. I think I need to tie a ribbon or something around the branch of the tree that tells me which path gets me back into my neighborhood.

I was talking with a friend about what changes I should work on for the month and she gave me a list of like 50 bad habits you should break. 50! She also gave me a list of the gym haters guide to physical activity which is kind of cool. It says things like "we all have to mop/vacuum a floor why not incorporate lunges?" Or while folding laundry do squats. We'll see how that goes.

Im getting cold so I'm off to find my path.

katiecoupon13: Don't worry about slipping up, we all do that, just don't accept it, and correct it. I can't remember the name of the diet that you're on, but on your list of cravings, cheese was allowed on the Atkins Diet.

Jay86: Of course you have an excused absence from working out. We are more concerned that you properly heal first. So, don't push yourself too hard; and don't do anything that doesn't feel right. Good job focusing in on your diet.

jingram: Welcome back. "My copd will not get the better of me this month!!!!" Now, that is the attitude that we need here. Good luck working out and lifting weights three (3) times a week.

Aarons Mommy: You came so close in April. Good game as they say in sports. I like that you added the 1# to this month's total. If the yoga/running pants keep you motivated, then it is worth it. I like the Victoria's Secrets Pink pants. You need to try to figure out what is sinking your motivation at the end of every month and the beginning of every month. It can be easy to get on the wrong trail.

Laurabeadle: While I agree with you that 26# is not much weight to lift; and yes, you most definitely do need to work on that; but we also have to take into consideration how far you've come. It probably wasn't a year ago that you couldn't walk to the bus stop and had to have your dad drive over and take you places. Watch video below.

claire7771: Congrats on being back into your height/weight BMI range. WTG! Good luck exercising 23 times this month. WTG on your tummy improvement. Good advice. Sorry that your son is sick. Good job on your Plank Challenge improvement. WTG! You're really doing great.

Aarons Mommy: Good luck with your 50 Bad Habits and Gym Hater's Guide To Physical Activity. You say that you want to give up a bad habit this month, maybe you and I can figure out one to do together. That sounds very interesting, fun and something that we as a group could use. Let's share the lists. Do you want to post the lists for us, or do you want me to see if I can find it and post it?
