RockOn May 2017 CHALLENGE - Healthy Living! (Nutrition/Fitness/Sleep/Stress,etc)

Welcome!
This group challenge is all about focusing on making positive changes to your daily routine to improve your health (or maintain a healthy lifestyle if you are already working on things).

This can include (but isn't limited to):
- Eating Healthy
- Exercising
- Quitting Smoking and other "Bad Habits"
- Sleep Goals
- Mental Health / De-stress / Meditation

While a trackable goal, is not required to participate, it can help keep yourself accountable. Examples of goals might be: Eat X amount of fruits/veggies per day; Eliminate soda X days per week; Get X hours of sleep each night; Meditate for 10 minutes every day; Get 10,000 steps each day; Workout X days this month; Maintain daily food/stress journal....

I'm sure this doesn't need to be said with the awesome WUCkies we have here, but please be respectful of everyone's goal. We are all at different levels and have different lifestyles. You aren't competing with anyone else here, just yourself

Dh and i counted our sat weight as weigh in bx we took road trip and looked at covered bridges in ashtabula ohio then ate at covered bridge pizza with kids.
Sun was another big eat day..we had ribs corn on cob coleslaw at my parents i ate ribs and coleslaw. And brownies. Back to routine today.

Gals we are all doing awesome let's keep it up!! My goal this month is to finish my plank challenge and make sure I exercise 23 days out of the month. I'm starting to feel better about my belly, I know it probably won't be the same ever after having kids and I'm OK with that, it is way less scary than when I started and looks better by the week. I recently got height/weight checked and I'm back into normal BMI and that was with my clothes on!! So I just want to maintain my weight and level of exercise. Today I did a 1/2 hour Zumba video and day 12 of plank challenge, so 1/23 exercise days this month!!

ok, I slipped last month also....I am determined to workout/do weights 3x a week/and eat better (I did resist the half priced shake last night when I got one for my kid). My copd will not get the better of me this month!!!!

I'm in again for May. . . And probably for life too. :-)

Just missed my April total weight loss by 1 pound. Since it's just one pond I'm going to add it to this months total.

Yeah, I keep changing the workouts because I can't find anything I really like (other than couch potato) Then, I thought maybe it's no fun because I don't have fun workout gear. (HA) so I bought a pair of yoga/running pants that say"Run like you blinked" with a weeping angel. (Best Dr. Who episode EVER!). If nothing else they make me happy.

I think I need to give up another bad habit this month just not sure what. Any suggestions?

Wtg on weight loss!! I felt like the best strategy for giving something up for me was to think of it differently and add a healthy habit into my routine, for example start drinking more water or green tea than u already are, or make sure you eat a banana/fruit every morning (bananas and apples are just easy to throw in purse when u r rushing) or add in a workout or walk to any day and keep it routine, take stairs instead of elevator or if there's anywhere you can walk/bike to work or school or go shopping do that instead of driving etc... and if I want to pick up a healthy habit like that I add it one at a time, slowly, let it become a habit before I try adding in something else.
