shadnamber: You are really making a lot of progress, Awesome job losing 2.7% of your body fat and converting 6# of fat to 5# muscle. Combined that with the weight that you've been losing, and you are really making some major progress, sort of like burning the candle at both ends. WTG!

CocoaDiva43: Good job continuing with your healthy eating. I sure wouldn't worry about eating healthy at a Fourth of July get together; you could safely bet that my hand would be reaching for a brat.

claire7771: Good job walking 3+ miles while pushing a stroller or carrying your DS. Other than the crust, a pizza is really not bad for you, especially one loaded with veggies. Were you able to limit your soda while on vacation?

Hi I'm back from trip. Monkey I didn't do great on the soda while on vacation, but that's OK it was vacation!!! Today went right back into eating healthy. I was feeling lazy about exercising, it's hard to get back into the swing of things but I did a workout video and now I feel great. Can't wait for Zumba tomorrow, it is nice to get back and be back on track.

That is okay, you can get back on track. After not exercising for a while, it can be hard to get restarted mentally, but once you get started back you will get back into the groove quickly. It's not like you haven't been exercising in a long time. Actually, physically you may have more energy the first time you get back to it. Good luck withdrawing from soda.

I ran 2 miles Saturday, and it was wonderful! We all went to the park, and I walked the track a few times with my husband before I began to run. Surprisingly enough, my 6 year old ran a good bit of it with me, too.

Also, my husband has now been smoke free for almost 2 months!

I'm jealous of your hubby's accomplishment of being smoke free for two (2) months. That is awesome! Tell him that Monkey said congratulations!

Yeah. You are recovered and running. Good job! Letting your 6 year-old run with you will help use up some of his/her energy. It is good and healthy for them to.

Thank you, Monkeystyle. I told him, and he appreciated your congrats. It's still it easy for him as there are times when he says he would really love a cigarette lol, but it's not strong enough anymore to make him go out and buy a pack.

As for the running, it was exhilarating. It was so nice. I was super sore the next day LOL, but it was worth it. I'll be running my first 5k in at the end of September! It's perfect for me. It's called Night nation run, and is the first 5k, according to them, that is a Running Music Festival. They'll be playing Electronic Dance Music all throughout with multiple dance parties, and at the finish line will be a massive after run dance party. I love to run, I run to electronic dance music, AND I love to dance, so it feels like they made a 5k tailor made for me! LOL. Here's the link if anyone is interested: https://runsignup.com/Race/NC/Concor...fCode=StJsFRPW

There are many venues, so you don't have to go to Charlotte.

Wow Jay that looks super fun!! I'm not a runner myself but something like that I'd give it a shot!!

Well yesterday went to zumba and took kids in pool, today mommy and me yoga and took kids to waterpark. It has been a while since I did yoga and it was definitely more difficult than usual!! I will have to remember to keep working it in more regularly but I feel like I got 2 great super active days in!!
