It is tax deductible if you donate to a non-profit/charity group. I type up a list of items I am donating with the value of each item and when I donate I give a copy of the list to the charity group and I staple a copy to my receipt showing where I donated it.

Every little bit helps towards lowering your taxes.

I don't go to that extreme maybe I should. I keep all my receipts, I thought just highlighting what I give to the food pantry.I usually don't get a receipt from them. Other places give me reciepts. Good thinking!!!Whawks is right every penny helps on your taxes.

So do you write the price you pd after Qs or the original price?

I write what the original price was before coupons. I'm using those like money, and the store is getting reimbursed by the mfgr. Not sure if that's right, but it's what I do. Someone correct me if this is wrong plz.

You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Do you have a homeless shelter, or a battered women's shelter? If not contact the school nurse to see if she could use them. (Schools are non-profit organizations as well)
