I just joined this in September, but I really wish I had done it sooner. It's a great way to earn money for kids' college without even trying. (Passively!)

If you're like me, you didn't realize that you can also stack manu and/or store Qs along with the Upromise Qs. With all the stacking I did last month, the manufacturers, Price Chooper, and Upromise PAID me to take their No Yolks Noodles, Nestle Choc, and Wacky Mac last month. (I also got a great deal on Cabot Cheddar and GOld Bond talc.)

Sure, no problem doodle.

Just go to the Upromise website and sign up. Then you add your Advantage Card number like this:
On the left side of the Upromise homepage, there's a column of buttons.
Click the grocery button.
Enter your zip code.
After the new page loads, all the local grocery stores that participate in Upromise should be listed.
Click the Register link for Price Chopper.
Key in your Advantage Card number.
I think you can register up to 2 cards per store. (I only have one, but if you do a lot of the Upromise coupon deals, having a second Advantage Card might be useful.)

Then repeat for all your participating grocery stores.

Here's a video on how it works:

https://lty.s.upromise.com/member/vi...couponFlash.do

After you've added your grocery store cards, click on the button for grocery coupons. If you can't find it, just type "grocery coupons" in the search field and hit enter or click search, and it will take you to the grocery coupons.

On the coupon page, you can choose to add individual Qs or you can click one button and load all the Qs on at once. After you've selected your Qs, click the bright orange activate eCoupons button on the right of the page. After you've activated the coupons, you can print a list of the coupons to put in your coupon binder.

When you shop, if you buy the correct items in the correct numbers, the points will automatically be credited to your Upromise account. It takes a few days for that to happen, though. And usually, you get the purchase points first (e.g. 28 cents for buying two bags of Nestle crunch snack size). Then a few days later, the bonus points from the coupon will appear in your account (e.g. $1.00 for buying two bags of Nestle Crunch snack size).

Each Upromise grocery coupon can only be used once per month, so it's a good idea to make a note on your print out if you're worried you won't remember if you used it.

You can also check on the coupons that you've already used in your coupon redemption history, but your most recent purchases won't show up, so it's not always a reliable way of knowing if you've used a Q or not.

Just to give you an idea of how the deals stack up, here is one scenario I did last month:

Nestle Crunch snack size bags, sale price $2.50, bought 2
+ used 2 $1/1 IPs from signing up on Nestle website (my store doubles dollar Qs, so I saved $4)
+ used 75 cents WYB 2 bags Price Chopper store Q from PC magazine received snail mail
+ received 14 cents Upromise points per bag, so 28 cents total, just for buying the chocolate
+ received $1 bonus from Upromise coupon WYB 2 bags

You get Upromise points just for buying specific products, even if there isn't a bonus coupon that month. Here is the list of products that give Upromise rewards:

Oh, I forgot to mention that you DON'T need to download any special software or browser add-ons, although they will offer it to you repeatedly! I don't want it and won't be loading it. If you go through their links, you can earn rewards from a lot of other websites when you shop online, like eBates. And like eBates, they also offer special coupon offers for online shopping (e.g. coupons to shop on Ann Taylor Loft online, or Avon.com, etc.).

I've also registered my debit card and my credit card so that when I get gas at my local Exxon station (when I'm not using my PC gas savings at Sunoco), I get a penny Upromise credit for each gallon charged for gas.

You can also earn dining rewards by registering your CC or debit card, but I'm already enrolled in a dining rewards airline miles program and the FF miles are a better deal for me. (You can't enroll the same CC in two dining rewards programs, but you can enroll a different CC if you want to.)

I've had a U promise account since 2006 and have been doing the e-coupons since this past summer. I also have my Advantage card and my debit card registered, as well as my CVS card. You can also shop online through their links.

I have my kids 529 NYS college saving plans linked to the account and if I have $25 in my account at the end of the quarter, it transfers into their accounts (although there are other options, including requesting a check). I work for a financial planning company and I can tell you that this is FREE $ -- everyone with kids should do this.
