Publix essentially has two regions...Florida where the majority of stores are and Alamaba, Tennessee, South Carolina and Georgia. Sale Ads Sale ads for AL, TN, GA, SC run from Wednesday - Tuesday Sale ads for FL run from Thursday - Wednesday BOGO's You must go to your specific store to see what is BOGO. BOGO's vary from store to store. In AL, TN, GA & SC a BOGO is not a true BOGO, each product is discounted 50%. This allows you to use one manufacteur coupon on each item. In FL, items ring up as a true BOGO, one item at the original price and the other at a 0.00. Doubling Most stores in AL, TN, GA, & SC double coupons up to .50. Stores in FL do NOT double coupons Penny Buys (Mystery Buys) These are store brand items that are offered for a $.01. A minimum purchase of usually $10 is required. This usually happens on Sunday & Monday Reminder - Policies vary from store to store!! Check first with your customer service desk to make sure. Don't ever assume anything. *Publix doubles coupons of .50 cents or less (for a maximum value of $1.00 off) everyday in most Georgia. South Carolina, Alabama & Tennessee stores (this does not apply in coastal Georgia or Florida stores)
*Publix accepts competitor coupons! Please ask at your store's customer service desk for the names of the stores that your Publix considers to be competitors (i.e. Kroger, Ingles, Food Lion, Harveys, Bloom, Bi-Lo. Harris Teeter, Target, Rite Aid, CVS. Walgreens). Please keep in mind that Publix obviously DOES NOT get reimbursed for competitor coupons, so please don't abuse the policy. If your location does not consider a particular store to be a competitor, do not be angry! When in doubt, always ask before you get in the checkout line if they will accept a particular type/store coupon. *You can combine a manufacturers coupon with a Publix coupon OR a manufacturers coupon with a competitor store coupon on the same item; some (but not many!) stores will allow you to use a manufacturers + Publix + competitor store coupon on the same item...ask at your store's customer service desk for their store's policy on this! *You do not have to buy 2 items when they are on sale for Buy One Get One Free to get the sale price at most Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama & Tennessee stores (this does not apply in coastal Georgia or Florida stores). Each item rings up at 50% off. *You can use 2 coupons for Buy One Get One Free items when you purchase two items *Many Publix stores are now storing coupon books behind the customer service desk to prevent hoarding & reselling of books and make couponing fair for all shoppers. Ask your store how they handle coupon book placement to make sure that you are getting the most recent in-store coupons! *Publix has a flyer with monthly Advantage Buys (typically green & yellow in color; these are usually found in the lobby of the store by the carts & weekly ads). These are monthly specials on food, household, health & beauty items. There are always Publix & manufacturers coupons in these ads that can be combined with other coupons for free or almost items! *Publix sales in the metro Atlanta area run Thursday-Wednesday, with the outer areas (along with most other states) running Wednesday-Tuesday sales. *Publix offers a Mystery Coupon Item or a Penny Coupon Item in most areas (not in Coastal Georgia or Florida stores) on Sundays & Mondays. This item is available for .01 cent with a minimum purchase of $10 AFTER coupons. Some stores require the coupon from the Sunday paper ad, some do not. Please ask for details at your store! You know your a penny pincher when you have more coupons then money in your wallet!!
