I hate it!! Ugh. I am so annoyed. I got a lot of the Kraft salad dressing buy 2 get $1 off produce...Anyway---I got a total of $30 of free produce.

I got a pineapple. It was yummy.

THAT WAS THE ONLY THING THAT WAS GOOD!!

Got two bagged salads..it was all the lettuce cores and not much lettuce at all!
Got cucumbers. Looked nice on the outside, and they TASTE terrible.
The baby carrots were slimy. I figure I will rinse them. They taste nasty.
The potatoes have tons of brown spots and dents in them.
1/2 of the strawberry's were bad.

I remember this is why I stopped buying produce in the first place.

I mean, I did not pay for it...but I still feel that I should have gotten good quality produce. There are people working in the produce section at Walmart so WHY does it not taste good. Even my DH said EWW.

Nevermind, I see now, Walmart. I have never liked their produce either.

I have never been dissapointed with the produce from Meijer. It is always fresh and clean and look great. I do wait until they have sales b/c they are too pricey for my cheap butt!

Really? The other stores I have are Shop and Save and I will NEVER ever buy produce there. YUCK. And Food Lion. I never checked out FL produce before...oh and Kroger. Never checked theirs out either...

I don't ever get the Q's you are talking about, but I love produce. It sounds like you need to shop somewhere else, and get someone to show you how to pick the produce. The only real problems I have are in winter when things just don't have the same great taste, but this time of year produce should all be fresh and taste wonderful. I am careful at Wal-Mart, but can usually walk out of there with the necessities.

I usually buy my produce at Kroger and sometimes at HT. I shop early on the weekends when the guys are putting out the fresh stuff. They told me they usually start unloading the truck at about 3-4 am! I get there around 9 when they're close to finishing putting it all out.

You can always email corp and let them know,
if the bagged salad was like from Dole you could also email them.

Free or not, they should be made aware of it.

Yeah it was dole. I am not exactly sure what those cores are called that are in the lettuce but do you all know what I mean? Seriously, DH would not even eat it because he said where is the lettuce?

I love foodlion produce, the only problem I had was with an eggplant, it was gross on the inside.
