Be nice to your landlord!!
As many of you know we own an apartment building. The very first thing DH tells people is ,"If you see something wrong, please tell me ASAP. So yesterday I am cleaning my bathrooms, go in the linen closet grab a new towel only to discover it totally wet.
Yikes, why would a clean towel be wet? I look up and I see little drops of water coming down on the woodwork. I run to get DH in the garage. He runs upstairs and finds the bathroom having a slow drip from the water shut off valve. Ughhh he was just up there fixing the toliet no one said a word about the drip behind the bowl. So my DH ran to ACE and fixed the problem. But here I am having to wash everything in there. I get skeeved really easily and totally taking everything out of the closet and making sure it wasn't wet. So please if you see a problem do not create more by not telling your landlord. We are just like you hard working but somedays we don't need the added stress that not telling us brings. It's ok to rant ...you know how much I love my jerk of a Landlord....get this remember the letter we sent him? DH should never have warned him that the letter was being sent. He refused our letter! Now what do we do????? BTW do we still have to let him know in writing that were not renewing our lease when it ends? He is the one that wanted us to end it now. And DH told him no(plumbing problem). I mean how will this affect us if he takes us to court? He refused our letter?
Sorry your tenet didn't tell you about the leak, you know we would have   married to Alan & mom to 7(still at home)

Sherry... take the envelope with you. You tried to reach him, he wouldnt sign it. It will be your proof that you tired.
Carina.... your telling me you clean their bathrooms? Wanna be my landlord?? Sucks they didnt tell you! Id freak out on them  .

No hun I was cleaning my own bathroom. Ewww I have a clause in the lease that the place must be as clean as we gave it to them.
Sherry, your landlord is a gem. I have no clue what you should do.

Well I am so tired but I got all my stockpile in there in better order. You know you never realize how much you own until you either have to move or are cleaning stuff out. Do I really need 16 boxes of haircolor? Probably not but I paid .39 cents for some and I am darn proud of that.

 We don't rent, but recently had the same problems with the shower. What a mess!

Sorry you had to go through that, We just moved 3 weeks ago and i LOVE this landlord, The first week we moved in she put gravel in the back yard to stop all the mud coming into the house, and she told me if i need anything fixed minor i am more then to have dh fix it and send her the recipts each month and take it off rent...and if its major give her a call and she will get someone out the same day, she kept her word about that too... I hope all landlords are this awesome...

My DH works his butt off to make the place nice and all we expect back is a little respect. We have the nicest building on the block. New Gilkey windows w/new custom make blinds, new landscaping, new front door. We put ceramic tiles in the kitchens last year. Stuff isn't cheap. We are lucky to finally have nice tenants that we actually really like. Its always scary getting new people.
As for the stain in the ceiling, I would primer it so it doesn't show through the paint. Are you sure that there aren't any links?
