I had the WORST experience at Safeway during my lunch break today. First, the self check out lanes are out of order and they only have 2 lanes open (one of which is express). So, I wait over 10 minutes to check out and when I hand the cashier my coupons she tells me she can only take 13 coupons. Since when???? The line was long behind me so I decided to take my coupons over to customer service to either return the rest of the items or get credit for the coupons. There isn't anyone at the customer service desk. After waiting for a few minutes another employee decides to page someone for me. As I am waiting I also notice my Just 4 U savings didn't come off. I waited for over 10 minutes, with a customer behind me as well and no one ever came! I had to leave since I was on my lunch break but, I have already contacted customer service. This whole trip was insane and makes me never want to step foot in a Safeway again (except to get my money back).

When Dominick's (my Safeway affiliate) first introduced the JFU program, there were lots of problems with the JFU pricing coming off the total. If this program just rolled out to your area watch your receipts. I generally bring my list showing the JFU pricing and CS adjusts for me. JFU system has improved over the months and I've not had a problem lately. I've not heard of a 13 coupon rule and it's not part of Dominick's coupon policy. HTH

What an odd amount. Where do you think she came up with only 13 coupons?? Is that her favorite number? ummm the day her eldest child was born? Oh wait, maybe the day she met the love of her life? The options are endless..... Hope you get it straightened out.

I think that was just when she decided she was done scanning coupons, very odd but, I wasn't going to hold up the people that were waiting behind me since she was one of only two lanes open. Oh, even more odd, she wrote "13 coupons" across the top of my receipt when it printed out.

Sorry your trip was terrible. There is one very unfriendly cashier at my Safeway (Randall's) and she works every day! I always use the self checkout because she makes shopping there terrible. I totally feel your pain. In all honesty, if my store's self checkout was closed I would leave my stuff and walk out. It's not worth the hassle. |
