Here's the new, updated coupon policy @ Shaw's.
I have a print out from my store if anyone wants to see the scanned copy, just ask.

COUPON ACCEPTANCE POLICY

One Valid Manufacturer's coupon may be accepted per item if legally permitted.
-->ME; Coupons may not be accepted for milk
-->ME, NH & VT; Other legal restrictions may apply.

Doubling of Manufacturer's coupons;
--> Shaw's doubles valid manufacturer's coupons that have a face value up to $.99
Coupons with a face value over $.99 are redeemed at face value only.

--> Coupons that state 'Do Not Double' or 'FREE' may not be doubled.

--> No more than FOUR like (same UPC) coupons will be doubled per customer. Per day. Any additional coupon(s) may be accepted at face value (not doubled) based upon product availability.

--> "Store" coupon may not be doubled.

--> Other retailer coupons are not accepted with the exception of Valid Catalina Manufacturer's coupon for specific item(s) that Shaw's carries & 'manufacturer' must be stated on the coupon. Other Retailers Store catalinas are not accepted.

--> Any combined discounts, including coupons, may not exceed the value of the transaction.

--> Coupons must have a valid barcode (UPC must be scanned or manually entered) and a valid date to be accepted.

--> One Store coupon and one valid manufacturer's coupon may be applied to an item.

--> Coupon may not be applied on a 'free' item.

--> Transactions may not be separated for the purpose of circumventing coupon policies.

--> Shaw's reserves the right to limit quantities of products sold.

--> Photo copied, altered and/or fraudulent coupons will not be accepted.

--> Manufacturer's Internet Coupons follow the same stated mfg coupon policies with the following restriction; Must be printed from a computer printer (no copies); Mfg internet coupon for free items are not accepted. All mfg internet coupon valued at $5 or more, including BOGO internet printed coupons valued at $5 or more, may be accepted based upon managerial review and approval.

--> Shaw's internet coupons are accepted with some restriction. The coupon must state 'Shaw's' and be printed from a computer (no copies). Unless otherwise stated, limit ONE coupon of each type per customer per day. A Shaw's internet coupon will not exceed $10.

Talking with my store manager, she said that Shaw's will now allow overage to apply towards your other items in your transaction, but will not supply cash back.

She also said that the first line of the policy contradicts the line that states "no coupons on free item" so she's going to look into that more for me to see if the FREE item the policy is referring to is with a coupon, not with a Shaw's sale. So possibly we can use 2 coupons per BOGO sale.. I'll update on this soon, I promise.

Doesn't seem much different...oh well let's hope the next time they revise it couponers will benefit!

So what's the big change? The B1G1 and $5 internet is the only difference in the previous policy. Am I missing something?

I'd be SO happy if they will allow a coupon on the free BOGO items. That can make a HUGE difference. Other than that I don't see a huge difference in the policy that affects me too much. But I definitely appreciate you giving us all the details, Jess.

The overage will be nice but this morning I went to two different Shaw's stores and they were real sticklers for making sure I didn't get overage for some reason.

I wonder if overage will still be a ymmv-does not appear to be directly addressed in the policy.

Well its not much different but I do like the change with the bogo printables and $5 printables now. Thanks Jess for getting this posted for us

I'm not sure. It seemed as if everyone in the building knew they now accepted overage towards other items.

How do they know how many of the same coupon you have used in any given day if you go to a different register or different store, is it somehow tied to your card?

I don't believe they track it. The policy prior to this also said '4 per day'. I've gone to two different Shaw's stores before using the same coupons without a problem.
