A family member is being kind enough to let me store things in her garage for the winter til our next garage sales in the spring. I think I remember moon posting a horror story about things exploding or freezing. What CAN'T be stored in a garage? What will freeze? Any tips? We're in NY, btw.

OMG, I haven't even given this a whole lot of thought! We moved back to KY this summer, and have been in TX the last several years, and I didn't stockpile back then. I live in a bi-level home, so part of my garage walls, are below ground level, so I'm thinking/hoping that will help somewhat. We have been in the 30's at night already, and it isn't really very cold in there right now, and I am scared of mice - BIG whimp - so I have those electronic pest repellers that send off sound waves to keep them away. We had a problem with field mice in Killeen, TX years back, and they got in our house, and scared me to death - kept catching them with glue traps. Ever since then, I have used the electronic gadgets, and haven't had a problem since. Maybe I need to buy more of these things, and make sure!!!! =)

I have no space either. we are in an apartment so its pretty crowded. I have things stored in some odd places. Under my sons crib are abunch of free airwicks. they dont smell unlike glade so that was the smart place to put those. My glade are all boxed up because the smell was making me sick! They are in the corner of the room that was just being wasted by the set up of crib and changing table. Under my older boys train table is full of snuggle and more airwick. My problem is food. i have it everywhere and have no place for it.
