Default dwindling stockpile. Slight panic.

With the cold weather upon us, i havent been doing a lot of coupon shopping and stockpiling. Frankly, i hate going out in the cold and i don't want to cart a baby out in it either. But i opened the freezer the other day and pulled out my last butter and a margarine. Only left me with 4 margarines and i kinda panicked a little. Then only have 3 boxes of tissues left, and a couple bottles of dish soap. Now in the past i never had a stockpile but now it's worrisome when i start to run out of things. Anybody else have these silly panic attacks?

No i dont but i freaked out yesterday when i didnt have any medicine for my teen cramping daughter.I ran to CVS so fast burned my cash card on some high priced aleve.I did use a 2/1 coupon too so it was kinda free not much oop.I cant find some advil that i bought during blk friday at cvs so mad. Then childrens advil is free next week, if it had just been a week later. Its cold as crap outside, i know what you mean about not wanting to go out.I went out today though to the store, im lucky its really close to me. My 2 year old son wanted to go out too he didnt mind at all.We only stayed out for a quick minute.

Don't feel badly. I've seen people panic when they had (10) left of something. One tip that might be helpful is to monitor your usage of products so you have a better idea of how much you'll use over the winter and try to have a stockpile of a little bit more than that before winter begins to get you through. I usually use a sharpie to mark the date on a product when I open it. Then when I open the next one, I transfer the open date of the first product to the second and add the open date of the second. And so on and so forth until I get an average time that it takes us to use something up. Then when I find a killer deal I know how much to buy that will last us six months or a year or within the expiration date on the product.

Our weather has not been bad, but my stockpile is getting low because of the lack of deals lately. I have restocked paper products and canned soft drinks at CVS. However, there has not been that many great deals on food that we use lately.

I can sort of relate. The biggest things in my stockpile is ladies deod., cereal, Jimmy Dean breakfast bowls, body wash and Air freshener sprays. I've never had a large stockpile, but it's been a lot bigger than this. I haven't been able to add to it, have had to start using what I have in there. This caused the stock to vanish so quickly. Not just due to finances, but also the lack of deals. I've been grateful for the few deals I've scored so far this month. They have been a huge help!

I'd really like to score a good H&B stock up sale. Conditioner, Shampoo, maxi pads, TP, and such. Would also like to be able to stock up on canned foods again. It would be great if we had more stores to choose from in town!

I am making more and more of my own items these days like dish soap, mouth wash & leather cleaner. I picked up 10 400 g bars of Zote from Walmart for .97$ each. I use Zote to clean where I can not use vinegar.

I have had constant illness in this household since December 16th. We are burning through hand sanitizer and facial tissue right now.

We have to deal with our conscience and the equal/opposite consequences of our behavior.

We are the lowest we have been since i started couponing. It worries me with all the talk of food prices going higher and The economy not getting better. I keep trying to bring it in and items cost so much more and the coupons for what I use are just not there.

I love this idea for over the counter meds. I have no idea how fast we go through some of these items. Thanks

I like the labeling of the date, too on the items. Sometimes I don't get enough of the item when it is on sale or sometimes I get too many and then have to give some away - this will really help me out.
