Hello everyone I'm new to couponing and I have a question. Recently our local supermarket had Purex on sale for 1.99. I had coupons for a 1.00 off n I bout 25 of them. I thought is was a good buy n I am a single mother of 4 boys so I am very interested in stockpiling to save me money. Would you consider this a good buy? I watch the extreme coupon shows n they spend next to nothing.

I live in S. Florida where no stores double. For me (I don't use Purex) $1.75 or less is my stock up price on the 33 load bottles.

Personally I don't use Purex. But my parents do and .99 is their stock up price. Shoprite has a Catalina deal this week that makes 5 bottles .95. So at .19 ea I'm stocking them up!

We're tide snobs in my home. I just got 70 ct tide pods on clearance at target for $9.58. I stocked up because the pods are super handy! If I use liquid I never get the same amount of loads that the bottle claims.

I think you did great! anytime I can get a 28 load+ for .99- 1.50 I stock up!

you saved a great amount of money which you could maybe pay a bill with that money or a partial bill with that money you saved and look forward to clean clothing and not having to pay retail price on laundry detergent for quite some time

Now if the laundry would just separate and throw itself into that washer and dryer we would be all set

Don't get me started on that show!!!!! Haha does that tell you enough??? That show has featured people multiple times who use coupons incorrectly!! Yes there's good people from it too, but the bad ducks ruin it for us. That's why there are so many restrictions on coupons!! .99 is an excellent price for Purex! It's my favorite! Stock up price for me is under a dollar so you scored!! Welcome to stockpiling- it's a fabulous thing!!

Definitely agree with LilysMom - that show seriously distorts the couopn process. It has definitely made things more difficult on those of us that do coupon ethically. I have watched it myself - but I more or less look at it as the "fantasy world" of couponing - it simply is not realistic.

But, as far as the deal you scored - that was GREAT! Good job!!!!
