Help Stockpiling for Baby

I'm currently pregnant with my 2nd child but, my first born will be 13 this month so, it's been a while since I've used any of this stuff. I found a good base calculation on stockpiling diapers but, what about the other stuff? Does anyone have any recommendations for the following?

Wipes
Shampoo/Wash
Lotion
Baby Oil
Powder
Desitin

I already have a decent amount of each and honestly think I am done with the shampoo/wash, baby oil, lotion, and powder but, I am not really sure and I'm not sure when I will have "enough" of the rest. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You can never have enough of wipes and baby wash and such, as far as clothes and such I learned to check Craigslist and resale shops it will save you loads!!!! I got over $500 worth of clothes for my godchild the other day for $45. Socks are a good thing to have an abundance of. One is always coming up missing somewheres! Good luck to you!!! If you have any other questions you can always PM me. I have 2 daughters 11 and 5 and a son 2. Blessings

Thanks! I have been really lucky the last 2 weeks or so and have caught some major deals with Target clearance. Over the weekend I got a $75 rocker/seat for 90% off! I've also gotten a carrier and monitors for 70% off. I keep going back to see if they have marked the clothes down any more. I know they have some Gerber items they are clearancing out and I printed a ton of the $1/1 coupons but they are still only at 30% so I am waiting for 50% or more.

I belong to the Amazon Mom program and I pick my favorite wipes from there (Huggies) and calculate the price per wipe .I have them shipped on Subscribe and Save, it includes free shipping. I then use that as my base price for wipes. I am particular about them and don't like Pampers but I do like Parent's Choice from Walmart. I have never been able to "stock up" as I have had at least one child in diapers since 2004, we also use them for wiping faces and hands, my older ones use them on the potty. I also think for diaper ointment it really depends on how much you use. We use it only when needed, I have a friend who uses it almost every diaper change. Anyway, I think depending on how much you have time to "chase deals", Amazon(with their Subscribe and Save and Amazon Mom) is a good place to start.

I agree u can never have enough wipes. my kids r older and we still use them for on the road. if they dry out just add water to moisten them. i wouldn't stock too much lotions, etc cuz the baby may have sensitive skin

Pacifier or Binkie which ever you can it is a mom's lifesaver. Mams has really good ones for different stages. There are sometimes q's for them.

Another good thing to consider even though it is early are bibs, some kids are droolers plus you will need them when they start eating food. I try and find orange ones because most of their food is orange in color plus I didn't have to bleach the bibs like the white ones. Easier clean up. Around Halloween is a great time to find them. The dollar sections at TG have them then.

Nail clippers for infants are also good. They are more delicate on baby's finger nails which grow and grow. Sometimes there are q's for them.

Check TG site for baby q's. They sometimes have bedding, bottles, etc. for great deals. I sure that someone on WUC posts their baby finds.

Start watching for Gerber and Beechnut q's and collect as many as you can. Plus Pampers has a point system to save, too. There are deals all the time on baby items. If you are using formula there are many programs that send q checks.

Girl or Boy??? Congrats on the new baby soon...

It's another boy for me! I could have sworn it was going to be a girl, was truly shocked when I found out.

I have been trying really hard to stock-up but, I don't want to cross the line from frugal to wasteful. I know I could always dontate or gift to another expecting mom but, I still want to be somewhat mindful.

I've really lucked out the last few months. My local ShopRite has been doubling coupons up to $1 so I have used that to stock up on diapers and baby food. I've checked the expiration dates to make sure none of the food would expire before it was used. Most of it was free or close enough to free to make it worth stocking up. I haven't gotten too much of the food though because you never know what he won't like. This is also how I have gotten all of the shampoo/wash, powder, lotion, and baby oil. I do think I am going to take a break from that stuff for now, unless I can get it completely free.

I've also really lucked out with the Target baby clearance but, I have been stopping in and scanning every chance I get. Today I went during my lunch break and was able to get an Eddie Bauer travel system (jogging stroller, car seat, and base) for $71.98 (70% off) and also an Eddie Bauer pack-n-play for $44.98 (70% off). The guy doing the markdowns just happened to be doing them as I was there so I pretty much had first pick. I've been grabbing clothing, bibs, and accessories when I find them on really good clearance there too. Oh, and I got a Baby Bjorn for $38.98 and a really nice set of baby monitors for 70% off.

I'm really trying, just trying to make sure I am doing my best and trying to get any input I can

Sounds like everything is on track for the new one. Congrats soon on your baby boy! When I had my first I carried a big diaper bag with everything, what a pain. By the time I had my last I was lucky if I had a diaper and wipe. You definitely find out what you need and don't. Sounds like you have found some great deals on strollers, carriers, etc.
