uh that would be Hee Haw.
Guess what my Daddy watched. That and Sanford & Son along with All in the Family.I hope your son is ok! ds#2 rammed a pitchfork up between two of his toes. I made him use epsom salt but that didn't keep it from getting infected and the day we were at the ER getting an IV with antibiotics and x-rays (no broken bones thankfully) and a tetnus shot. I told him he better not run in the garden anymore without shoes on.

I am anxiously awaiting to see how you all do with this. I am not "formally" participating, but am going to be consiously trying to get our budget as low as it can go this month. Best of luck to everyone.

Ding! Ding! Ding! Foggy got it right. It was the lyrics to a song they sang on Hee Haw...if it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all, Gloom, Despair and Agony on me. I digress.
Just got a text from son....he's already had a tetanus shot. Hopefully they will send them back home soon so they can get off the roads on this crazy night. Total out of pocket for the ER visit....$100.00 co-pay....our insurance stinks. BTW Foggy, my LOL on your post was for the Hee Haw comment....not for your son's injury....that sounds awful. |

I was all done with Christmas by the 15th, so I had the rest of December as no spend. I too am still playing catch up with bills, DB isnt working as it is hard we ran through our savings and have no helath insurance so meds are out of pocket. with his unemployment and my little money i bring in, barely make it but I have his credit cards bills to pay off as I dont believe in credit cards oh buy he sure does. my goal is to put 100.00 a month in an IRA account for my retirement. I am living off the stockpile and what is in the freezer. boy how many meals can one come up with? my family is so picky so when they say i dont like that,I say sit at the table until you learn to like it that is what is for dinner. when taxes come in I will be on a strict budget as well as I dont wnat to be in this mess again, its no ones fault just don't like this

Big warm hug to you Neciepie. Breathe, then breathe again. Repeat.

another good idea is to try and use any giftcards you got at christmas instead of cash this month- this way you still feel like your spending but you're not really!

Yesterday I picked up fresh fruits and veggies that should last a couple of weeks.
In our household my roommate has a gal of milk a day habbit, and a pkg of cookies and candy every other day. He pay's for that. I'm responsible for buying (and cooking) all of the other groceries, cleaning, hba, and paper items. For the last 4 months I've been able to keep it down to $200. So this month I'm shooting for $100. I also have various gc's that were free from different things I do that I can use if I really need to so it wont be actual cash coming out of my pocket. Good Luck everyone.......we can do it!! |

Well today has started out good. No going out to breakfast this morning so we put our $20 that we would have used into a jar towards the freezer purchase in Feb. It is going to be great getting a 2nd freezer just before garden time
