Didn't get as much done as I'd hoped to yesterday or today but still got some things done and still have time to do a few others.

Had a doctor's appointment this morning which went well. I'm measuring right on target and Ann Elise's heartbeat was good and strong. I start going every week now and will go back on Monday and they will begin checking me for dilation and thinning. The doctor did say that since I'm already feeling the pressure on my cervix and have for several weeks now and have had a good many contractions that she doesn't think it'll be too much longer before I have her. I was partially thrilled to hear this but also terrified because we are still trying to find a new place to rent and the baby shower isn't until Sunday. We could make our apartment work if we absolutely had to but it's already so cramped that we are desperately hoping to find something bigger.

I have to go get my books for school tomorrow so I can start reading the chapters and try to get ahead a little. Luke will be going to my dad's for a little while to play with my youngest step sister (she's 7) so I'm hopefully going to be able to use that time to get some things cleaned out of his room that he doesn't play with anymore and also go through his clothes to clean out the winter stuff and make more room in his closet and dresser in case he and the baby have to share the space. Plus my friends who are having boys are coming over on Wednesday to go through all the boy stuff I have and pick through what they want so I can get rid of the rest that I don't want to keep for sentimental or gender neutral reasons.

I'm trying to decide how to go about starting packing and cleaning out stuff so we can maybe have a garage sale before the baby comes to make a little extra money off the stuff we are getting rid of then whatever doesn't sell will go to either our church, goodwill, or if someone is having a fundraising garage sale we will give it to them. I know it's best to take it room by room I'm just not sure which room to start in or where I'm going to put stuff once I put it in boxes. I may end up calling in some family to help me get it figured out since I can't seem to figure it out on my own.

Any suggestions?

Mommy08 - I use the 3 box method when I am cleaning out a room. I put garbage in 1 box, rummage sale items in another and donate items in a 3rd box. It makes the process go quickly.

Well, the baby and I are on week 2 of Mommy & Me Boot Camp, which meets twice a week. The workouts are difficult, but I can already tell that I am getting stronger!...

Currently, the baby is taking a snooze, so I am catching up on my forums and then am going to finish up some coupon envies for trains that I am riding. This afternoon, I need to dust and vaccum as well as mop the floor on the main level. Then, I need to make a run to CVS.

We actually do somewhat of the same thing, We bring our garbage can in, have a box for things we would like to sell, and a box for items for our church and as a donating box gets full we put it in the van so it isn't forgotten. I still somehow manage to get overwhelmed though. :-(

tdmr25: You got a lot of chores accomplished.

mommy08:
Glad your doctor visit went all and your baby is doing good. Good luck finding items to sale in your garage sale. Good way to raise money.

clippingqueen: Good house cleaning tip. That's great that your workout is giving you good results.

oh goodness, it's JUNE!!!!! NOOOOO! lol. And dh and I sat to write down things happening this month--I feel the whole month is gone already. grrr.

We've been blackberry picking like mad this wk and last. LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of blackberries! so yum! We still have some bushes of a different variety that are just starting to berry out--so we have another month+ of picking ahead of us! whoohooo!

Garden is growing, and making me so happy! We got rain 2 nights ago, and boom, everything perked up and grew insanely--unfortunately, so did the weeds, lol. Our squash and green beans are just starting to get flowers on them! yeehaw!

It's hot and muggy--and it's barely started. I was dying yesterday, and it was all of 85*, with 58% humidity--I was sweating, just standing there. what a wuss I am--and I don't care! I cannot believe we'll be adding 10-15*+, and another 20-30% humidity as the summer progresses.... Those sweet, romantic stories of the deep south and their languid summer days--ya'll it's a freaking lie! All those summer days are is sweat and more sweat and clothes sticking to you, and your face is all red with the heat, and your hair is dripping wet....nothing romantic or lovely about it, I promise!

I have so much to do this evening--but I did so much yesterday, and was running this am, and I am POOPED. (I was working on stuff till 11, and wasn't asleep till after 1!)

oh, yummy summer dessert--bake a cake (I used some yellow mix I got prolly 2 yrs ago, lol), cut it into smallish chunks. layer in a see through glass (or a reg bowl is fine)--cake, vanilla yogurt, fresh summer fruit (I used peaches and blackberries), and add fresh whipped cream. ahhhhh, yum! (a small carton of heavy whipping cream, maybe 1/2 tsp of vanilla, and some sugar to taste---beat it with a mixer till soft to hard peak stage--whichever you prefer.) I brought it to a mom/kids meeting today, and the kids got a kick out of adding their own layers.

Ain't that the truth about summers down here!!! And I'm almost 9 months pregnant on top of it!! I feel like I'm going to wilt most of the time!
