Tom and I went to the grocery store. We are having to go every 2, or 3 days. It's just easier to carry in the things we . need. So meal planning is more imp.

Awww, Laura! Exciting....but whew....baby girl won't ever stop now! Hahaha!

Neenee, I put the bacon grease on the burgers so they won't be dry when reheated in the microwave. They always are dry after reheating! The bit of fat helps against the dryness. And tastes good. Lol.

Mmmm... bacon grease!

I was trying to find the smilie there that showed how yummy the bacon grease was. I saw this one.... ...Bacon grease doesn't seem as appetizing that way! LOL Great tip though for the burgers! Sounds delish!

Oh Katie I love Scooby. I always have. I am glad that your husband got his old job back. I know that takes stress off of you.

Laura you definitely don't need to fall. How cute that Maddie is talking.

Jfred the burgers definitely sound more appetizing with the bacon grease.

Damienmom I love bacon but I don't think I could drink the grease.

I did get a bit done around the house today. I went through some more of my late husband's cds. I took some to one of my sons friends and have some more to take to one of my friends. They are both musicians and I think they will enjoy them. I was going to keep more of them but I decided to share with them because they really like the music. I think it would have made him happy. I also did a bit of teamwork this afternoon.

I volunteered for a few hours at the thrift store today. I reorganized some racks and hung some fresh inventory. I found a few items that I hope my stepdaughter will like.

I made lima beans for dinner and pulled some cornbread from the freezer. I had leftover ham in the fridge so we used up a few things. I packed my husband's lunch and I have several servings of beans left. I may take some to the cabin this weekend or I will put the rest of them in the freezer. I am not sure what I am going to cook tomorrow. I don't know if we will spend the night at the cabin or not.

I forgot to mention that I went by Dollar General yesterday and found three mini candles in the Christmas clearance. I may give one to a friend now and put the other two in my gift closet. The gingerbread ones smell really good.

Ahhh, the car is all packed for our little road trip tomorrow! Yah! I have to somehow fall asleep earlier than normal....as my alarm is set for 430am! Gulp!! I want to be on the road sometime between 530-6. We're gonna stop in SC to see my cousin, and then in NC to see my college bff...and have dinner w her, before getting to my parents around 7pm. Whew! Normally we get in to their house around 430/5....but they will be atthe airport getting my little sis then, and won't be back home till 7ish. So I decided to stop to see my friend. Oh, I miss her! We've known each other since we were 11/12 yrs old! Eeee! oh, and I am already homesick for my dh....and I haven't left yet! Sniff!

We canceled our normal thurs activities, and just hung out, ran errands, and took care of last min things. Dh got lots of kid snuggling in. He misses them terribly when we're gone.....says the house gets TOO QUIET! Ha!

I cannot find the internet bill. I've looked all over....lol. idk where it is!! I paid everything but that bill! Eek!

While running errands, the kids and I stopped into the thrift store, and I found a few goodies I hope to sell....when I get back....lol. 3 copper-colored jello tins for .79/ea, 2 brass candlesticks (brass seems to be back "in"...gag....but if I can make a couple of bucks....who am I to care if someone adores it?!), and some old babaar books....copyright of 193?. Hmmmm! Not a ton of stuff....I just pick up a piece here, and a piece there! Think I spent $5.

I got the kids' school packed up....they don't know it yet, but we have alot of history to read while gone!! I have an old NC state history textbook, hahahha, and I picked a few chapters for them to read! We'll prolly visit the Duke Homestead when we're up that way, and I'll look for some other things to visit and do. And math....math everyday!! And a couple of dvd's I've wanted them to watch. I think Tuesday or Wed will be laid back, stay at my sister's house all day...and a good dvd or two on history or science will enthrall them...and let me sit and chill and BE. (I want to do that on tues....but if it rains wed-fri, I'm gonna have to switch wed plans to tues!)

While visiting, there's an inexpensive used book store nearby....where as a teacher I can gets books for .25!!!, so dd saved her xmas $ for that store!! Hahaha! And I saved my xmas $ for pottery!!! Us girls will spend a day pottery shopping while bro and dad keep the kids. Yaaaaah! Our cousin might be able to come visit for that day....not sure yet.

Anyway...I should be asleep....but I am kinda excited....and kinda not able to zzzzz.....
