Idk what your area is like...but could you move to a smaller town or the outskirts of a town/city near you w some land? Do you have to move to PA for your dh to be happy? (Thinking some PA farmland is crazy expensive, due to the amish farmers....). We live in a rural "city" (14k population), and we live on the outskirts....so our road is mostly people w land. We have 37 acres, people next to us have around 20, the one house we can kinda see has 5....most have 3-5 acres. Yet walmart is 6 min away. Across the highway from us, our road goes into the county....and everyone has acres and acres over there. Again...minutes from walmart. But, I do know that in some areas, it's hard to find acreage nearby....cause of so much city! That said....the nearest bigger city (all of 60k people....not big at all!) is a 30+ min drive away, and the next largest city is 75ish min away. There ISN'T a ton to do around here, lok.

Im ok with pa but theres many faults...no work or traveling alot to get to a job..and then back home..bx its very rural where hes from you either have to inherit a house..build new or live in trailer or live with family.and their home school laws from what ive read are far more hoops and loops to jump thru then Ohio. Between here and there there are lots of smaller country backwood areas..weve driven through over years together and liked them/saw many things interesting to us.
Idk. Im also not sure im ready to uproot and leave everything and my parents...we have great friends.networks for hsing and free produce etc..but then again i could get more land and have less rest Restrictions for a larger garden..more fruit trees..chickens pigs etc..my heart is so heavy.:/

I am trying to catch up today on a lot I wanted to get done. Cleaned out the diaper bag, gathered together receipts I needed, working on a grocery list/menu now. I haven't done one in awhile, and it shows in the grocery budget. And we end up making a lot of last minute trips, and add to the craziness. I like having it done with, and not having to keep adding trips to the grocery store in the schedule. LOL I am not sure how much I'll get done, but any is better than none. I hope everyone is doing well!
