Sorry, Laura! I pray you can be provided meat elsewhere!!!

Whew, we worked our butts off! 2-2.5 hrs of all three of us working hard! The house looks good and smells awesome! I still have a bit to do, but was wearing down fast. I finally hung 2 pictures in the addition that have been propped up against the walls since last yr sept! Lol, oops! And I found homes for most of the stuff I kept from the antique mall. I have a box of that stuff that needs to go out to storage, sitting on my table. The kids dusted, swept, mopped, and wiped off woodwork, doors, and my kitchen cabinets! Also they cleaned and vacuumed their rooms, and changed their bedding! They are good, hard workers...and cheerful as can be! I'm so glad for their help!!!

I still need to sweep my bedroom, bathroom, and the spare room, then mop the bath. I need to rinse out the tub, and wipe the surround....it's not been used in awhile, and gets dusty. When I use it regularly, everything gets wiped after every use. I'm still working on laundry, and will the rest of today. So I didn't bother yet with folding it. And then just a few odds and ends....our small freezer gets iced over, and we need to clean out the ice in the bottom (it leaks on the kit floor when of does it's daily thawing), and some other little things I can't remember. Not too much, really. Dh and ds moved the camping stuff to our rv barn yesterday for me. We need that stuff next weekend, so we didn't put it into storage.

I'll be glad to get things all done, then sit with dh to watch a show once the kids are zzzzing, and we're waiting for his parents to arrive. Oh it's gonna be hard to stay up and wait, lol! I think they are gonna be here around midnight! Zzzzzz, lol! Dh didn't even make it thru the kids' bedtime last night! He was snoozing during our show, and then was out cold when I came to bed! Hahaha! It's been a long week for him at work, plus he's increased his running miles this week. I forgot how exhausted he gets the first 4-6 weeks of training!

I pulled two chic breasts to thaw for dinner, and am making chicken pot pie for dinner tonight. I think I'll make two, and put one in the fridge for tomorrow's lunch. IF we eat out instead (which is possible), I'll just throw that extra one into the freezer for another time! Last time I made drop biscuits for the topping, vs rolling them out....and that worked sooooo much better for me....it was easy-peasy, esp with my cookie scoop!

Pot pie sounds yum. I've never done drop biscuit on it I'll have to try it.

This day was a day...me and dd1 tasted some chili peppers and burned our mouth then I rubbed my eye and thought for sure I'd have to go to er...I flushed my eye with water..
Fun fun fun..
I went to our pantry and stocked good on canned stuff and pet food plus they had diapers so I have back ups.

We also bartered with my gf and I got several loads bread and bags of buns. Plus dried fruit..canned goods. New boots for Dh and a digital scale.

God does provide.

Oh yes he does provide!!

I changed my budget a bit I had $200 set aside to pay on what I owe the apt complex. I'm getting into that to get meat. On that note Ron took me to aldi. I bought a turkey breast, a turkey ham and a doz eggs and a package of tortilla wraps. I checked out a bag of taters I could smell the bad one in the bag (they stayed at the store).

Then when got to my place ron tried to make friends with ivory. She said no your close enough and hide in her window.

Oh good, Laura. Sorry $ is so tight!

Oh heavens, I could NOT COOK tonight! I used up all my energy this am, and after nap I felt like a truck had smashed into me. Also, food sounded gross to me. Lol. Except chips and salsa from our fave mexican restaurant. Dh went there and got us some chips and salsa, soft tacos, hard tacos, and burritos (3 of each of those). It was delicious! We topped it off with halloween candy for dessert, lol! Yum! My belly is way too full now! At least with having the chips WITH the food, I didn't overeat chips and then not very hungry for the regular food, lol. Dh didn't want to eat out, so he just grabbed it all to eat in. I'm glad, cause I didn't want to go out either.

I got sweeping and mopping done while he was gone. Now to clean the stovetop and wipe the appliances of all their kiddo fingerprints, lol! Then fold laundry. Zzzzz, is it bedtime yet? Oh, and we still need to blow up the mattress and make the bed, and get bedding out for the couch, for nephew. AFTER the kids are in bed....and settled a bit, ie, not gonna come out and find out what we're doing, lol! Little brats! Hehehe!

That's sounds fun, Katie! Enjoy your time with your friend!

I'm waiting for the kids to be ready for bed. They started being cranky-butts with each other, and dh told them they cannot talk to one another again tonight! Hahaha! There's been alot of crankiness between them lately....they either are being bossy-butts or aggravating one another....and I'm about to lose my mind. I need to bring a wooden ruler or spoon with me, and treat them like they are three, instead of 11 & nearly 13!!! Esp since they are acting 3!

Sorry about your food budget Laura. The cheapest meat around here is chicken leg quarters. I got a pack earlier TG his week for 4.70. Also eggs are a cheap protein source. We had breakfast for dinner Sunday night. I will eat eggs boiled or fried so there are pretty versatile for me. A dozen costs a little over a dollar here but I know people find them much cheaper at Aldis and other stores.
