I went to walmart a month or so ago and at the service desk one of the associates was taking coupons and ads out of the newspapers. I didn't want to be nosy but, I wondered what was going on because it was Sunday and the papers couldn't have been old. I wondered what was going on but, I left it at that.
Three days ago, I went to Walmart for the .08 Kraft dressing and used my 1.50 off q's. Of coarse they beeped and I was in the self check out lane so the cashier came over to help. She said wow, that's a great deal on the salad dressing and she asked me where I got my q from. I told her what paper I got them from and she said she would have to go look in the break room for the q's. She said the girls take them out of the papers and throw them in a box in their breakroom for the associates to use. I was floored but, I didn't say anything to her. I don't know if this is common practice or not. Always check your papers before you buy them!!!

WOW! That is awful. I always check my papers that I buy in stores because I know sometimes they have been missing.

Well that's crappy. I try to check my papers before I buy them. Sometimes I have to get them out of the machines & can't. Our local WM doesn't sell newspapers in the store.

Maybe she meant AFTER SUnday they take the inserts out of the papers...before they toss the papers. I know a girl at CVS told me this one day. They take the inserts out after Sunday.

I could see if they're going to return the papers for credit or something like that, but on Sunday when they could still sell them?

Ugh!!! that just makes my blood boil!! I would definitely let the manager know! (if it is on Sunday and still selling them)

i would call the management and make them aware of it. if it was monday i could see them doing that, if they made the arrangements to do that with the paper company. but on sunday, i wonder how many people got a paper and were upset they had no coupons
