So yesterday evening I went to Wally to get some free make up. I got 8 (mixture of blushes and tools) and decided to use the overage on some items for dinner. I passed by the fruit section and remembered that Kroger had the red seedless grapes for $1/lb this week so I decided to PM that.
Well... I get to the cashier and told him I wanted to PM with Kroger. He asked me for the AD. I said I don't need the AD (I normally walk with my own AD but I had gone there straight from school & I usually don't have a problem with not having an AD). He said "yes you do need an AD" Well before I could whip out my policy from my binder he left his station in search for an AD. So I was fine with that since they are supposed to have the AD to confirm the prices. To my dismay, he looked through the AD and could not find the item I wanted to PM ![]() I'm thinking WHAT? I know I saw it in there. So now I'm thinking, did I look @ the wrong AD? I felt terrible because there were other people in the line and I looked like if I was trying to be dishonest. I apologized and told him to take it off my bill ($1.97 for grapes? never) So after applying my 4 CG coupons he had to pay me $2.xx. I was trying to avoid this by purchasing the grapes but since I could not PM it, oh well...PAY ME I must say that the cashier was very nice (other than requiring an AD) he even seemed excited that I got cash back and he and the CSM complimented me on my great coupons. Ok......on my way home I stop to get my mail and what do I get? The Kroger AD with the red grapes for $1/lb WHAT??? I was right all along. The cashier had the wrong AD and made me look like a complete FOOL. And then I remembered that I saw that price on the online AD that I get in my email from Kroger. I was really mad... ![]() ![]() Do I bring the AD to that same cashier and prove to him that I was not trying to rob Walmart? (I live 2 seconds away so it would have been an easy task) Should I call coorp or the Mgr? I really don't want to have to go through that again. What would you have done? Since he was nice and polite, I would let it go. He didn't act like he thought you were a robber. He made a mistake, not a mean thing to try to "get" the coupon lady.
I say pick your battles. Woo hooo on overages!! Right now the best price I can find on grapes is 1.39. ![]() |

What!!! I thought you couldn't PM by pounds only by a certain price, like for example: Red Peppers at Publix is .69 EACH rather than .69 a POUND???????????????????
I swear lol Walmart SUCKSSSSS at Price Matching! It also takes hours! with un-experience Cashiers |

Just let it go. He seems nice and didn't give you much trouble.
If I get that much money back the cashier at my Walmart thinks I'm stealing. One time I had $0.12 overage and the cashier called the CSM. the CSM told the cashier it's okay. |

To keep everyone's stress level in check I would just bring my ad with me. Don't sweat the small stuff life is too short. Not to minimalize the situation but you are going to devote more time to something that is basically water under the bridge.

![]() I'm not big on overage, I just use it for groceries anyway. But since he was polite I didn't want to get him in trouble I just wanted to take the correct AD to him so that another person does not have to go through the embarrassment .But then I was thinking.... I should have had him look @ the date and that should have fixed it. Oh well....I went to Kroger which is 2 mins away and purchased the grapes with the overage I got @ WM ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() AND I got "cage free" eggs on markdown for $0.55 a dozen ![]() Happy camper!!
