I really did not expect it to be such a free for all. Seems like a store that big would be more organized and prepared for such a big turnout of people. There weren't any employees overseeing most of the areas where people were gathered. It just seems like such a liability for the store. On a brighter note, I had a great run at Walgreen's this morning. There were like 30 people waiting at the door for the store to open at 9.

I'm a 911 Dispatch supervisor & currently @ work right now. My husband has been texting me from the St. Croix Falls, WI, Walmart letting me know he was in line for one of the TV's for our teenage daughter & got their soon enough to get one. He was also getting some jeans for our teenage son, several DVD's (some even marked @ $2!) & maybe a few other items (around $200 total).
So far, we've taken 911 calls for people who've taken their small children to Walmart & the kids got lost/separated from the parents, who then panic & call us. Both times, they were found safe (keep your small kids @ home, people!). We have some police officers working @ 2 different Walmarts in the county, but so far nothing drastic has happened. We are stuffing our faces - again - w/food that a local grocery store gave us because they closed for the day & it was all left over. It's nice that our local businesses think of us & the officers who are working to make everything safe for those who get to stay home w/their families. I don't know what to say about these horror stories of people being ignorant during Black Friday. I guess Minnesota nice goes a long way up here! ![]() ***Husband just texted me - he's OTW home w/the TV & numerous DVD's. Spent approximately $185, but now our daughter is done shopping for. He said everyone behaved & there were no fights. for the past 20 years; mother to JD (20), Jessica (19), Harrison (13) & my furry 4-legged son Jude (3).

Been in line at Walmart almost two hours. They are only letting five people in at a time and waiting for those five to leave before they let more in. If there are six in your party someone has to stay outside. Does that make sense? I can understand letting people in in small chunks so they aren't overwhelmed, but really? Only five people in the store at a time??!! Wonder if this is something to call corporate about. Just doesn't make sense!

stores are prob loaded to fire code capacity so at a certain point in time they have to limit the number of customers in for their own safety !

People have just gone mad. I'm sorry but I would rather my kids go without then to stoop down to the level that some of these people have stooped to. Just to save a buck or to get the next latest gadget. Absolutely not. Ripping things out of people's hands, being rude and mean. ugh...

I walked in Wal-mart with nothing and left with only a headache, but the worse crowds has to be the ones at Toys R US. I want to say that I applaud all of you parents who stood in the longest lines-- just so your children could have something to play with.
