Chicken salad seems to all be basically the same to me, until I eat someone else's! What are the things you add to your chicken salad to give it your unique flavor?

I add:
mayo, onion, salt, pepper, dill weed, sweet relish, celery (if I have it on hand)

My Grandma Adds:
mayo, onion, salt, pepper, pecans, grapes, celery

Miricle Whip, a little onion, a little celery, a dash of sugar. Yum!!!

It depends on if I'm in a sweet or savory mood..

For sweet I'll add apples, grapes, raisins, or Craisins..whatever I have on hand

savory it's the usual..relish, onion, celery, very little mayo, a splash of pickle juice

I'm pretty boring..... I add mayo and celery. No celery if DH is going to eat it. Lots of celery if I don't want him to eat it. If I have some peppers and cucumbers I will add those as well.

put it on bread with red onion.

Very finely chopped celery, mayo, salt, pepper, vinegar. Sometimes I add a little tarragon (or use tarragon flavored vineger), chives, and/or chopped pecans.

My recipe came from my MIL.

Miracle whip
Celery
Salt & Pepper
Pickle Relish
Pepper Relish
Sugar
Lemon Juice

She used to make Pepper Relish every summer and put it up in pint jars. I can't
even remember what a hot dog tastes like without some on it.

I just use black pepper, celery salt, finely chopped onion, sweet pickle relish and juice, boiled eggs and Duke's mayo. Typical Southern recipe!! I will say that Harris Teeter has the best deli Roasted Chicken Salad!! It is sooooo yummy! The following recipe is on Recipezaar and I will say it is great for a change!!
