I have about 6-8lbs of grits, 3lbs macaroni noodles and couple lbs of flour and cornmeal. im not sure what to do with all the grits since never had any i liked taste of. any ideas? dont want them to go to waste and low on incoming food variety.

Have you tried adding cheese and butter? I eat them like that.

sounds like you need to make some cornbread. it can be frozen, and also used for cornbread stuffing. As far as the grits, not sure , but you can prepare them with butter, milk, parmesan cheese and cut into squares after it sets up in fridge and freeze them.. Not sure how these will freeze , but you can always google recipes for grits and also how well they freeze. Hope that helps a little. Also the noodles can be cooked and frozen.

You can just send those grits over to my house, lol, I luuuvs me some grits. I like to make my own breakfast bowls out of them in the a.m. I cook the grits, add a little butter, salt and pepper the bejeezus out of them and then throw in a little cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon and scrambled eggs and mix it all together. I also love them plain with just butter and salt and pepper- you just have to know how to season them.

You can also eat the grits as a hot breakfast cereal with butter and a little sugar (I add both brown sugar and white sugar to mine).

I've seen several people put grape jelly in their grits before too, but I've never tried it that way. Are you originally from the south? I didn't know they ate grits up north....

Grits, butter and sugar sounds like a great breakfast for the reindeer.
