Greek Fish Plaki(Fish Paste)
Hubby ordered it on one of our 1st dates. I was naive enough to believe that my future husband would NEVER pull a fast one on me like that. Ate it for about 5 minutes before he told me, almost puked and wanted to kill him. Never did trust him quite the same way again! It wasn't necessarily bad, but I have this thing about fish and how it's prepared. This wasn't quite how I like it. ![]() |

Chocolate Chip Cookies w/ Ranch Dressing. I'm well known for putting ranch dressing on everything. My dad bet me I wouldn't, so of course I did. And you know what? LOVED it.

I usually don't try anything out of the norm. LOL, I grew up eating rabbit(love it) and goat.
I tried alligator and buffalo once when I was younger and really don't remember the taste. |

![]() Deer, elk and wild boar are all pretty normal to me but might be odd to others. Frog legs creeped me out and I didn't think they tasted good. Caviar is an experience. I did not like the little eggs popping in my mouth. Can't think of anything else... |

When I lived in Russia we had some interesting things... I wish I could remember the names of them.... some were good, others it just took all you could to swallow, smile and say thank you without gaging in front of the hostess.
I've had goat, bison, bear and deer. I liked all four. |

Like some of you, I am from the country, so deer, rabbit, etc. are fairly common. The most far-out I have gotten is barbequed alligator jerky and turtle soup.. Actually not too bad

I was raised in the city so I haven't had the pleasure (???) of trying the things mentioned above. I am a picky eater too. When I was a child, on a triple dog dare, my younger brother and I ate a Milk Bone dog biscuit. Neither one of us liked it. That is it for my adventourous soul.

I am super picky when it comes to meat. Like I don't even eat pork or fish/seafood. So I have not tried most of the things you guys mentioned. I did eat a couple bites of bear roast and a bowl of deer stew, in one dinner, when I was staying at a friend's house for a weekend. Made me want to gag. Then I actually slipped some to the dog
since I was always taught to eat what was put before me and didn't want to be rude, but I thought I was going to throw up. I guess it *might* have been rude if they saw me feeding it to their dog though!! I went to a Korean restaurant last month and didn't ask what was in the dumplings, but ate them any way. Does that count?? ![]() |
