Working from Home
It seems like people are always looking to find work from home job opportunities. As of this week, I am a full-time work from home employee for my company. I am extremely thankful for this opportunity as it will allow me to stay home with my son and the new baby we are expecting in the new year.
I am a regional marketing manager for a national restaurant chain. (For those that know me, this is not my "original" career or employment experience., as I am a medical researcher) I have worked for this company part-time for the past 10+ years as a way to make extra money on the weekends. My boss loves me and as I began to talk about leaving permanently, she offered me the job of regional marketing manager. The former manager had put in her 2 weeks that very day and my boss made a few phone calls to her bosses and offered me the job. I was already working from home 5 hours/week as their social media content writer (aka Facebook poster).
I have a company supplied Smartphone and use my own computer.
The reason I am mentioning this is because if you are looking to work from home, these are actual job postings that you will likely see, not on "work-from-home" type sites but actual job listings. Although I was hired from within, the woman I am replacing was not. Don't limit yourself when you are searching for these opportunities.
