I'm just putting this out there for anyone who is just starting to stockpile. Start taking inventory now! Here I was thinking my stockpile of puny. Well it is compared to others that I've seen on here. But going through everything to enter into my spreadsheet, I have a TON of stuff! I started two days ago and I'm still not finished with Health and Beauty yet! I haven't even started with food yet!

So start writing down things as you get them, or enter it into a spreadsheet or something.

I'm really starting to think that USB Scanner wouldn't be so bad right about now!

I actually am using an app on my iPhone that is for price scanning, but I've tweaked it a little to show what I've got stored. It's great, because I can scan the UPC with my camera using this app!

PLEASE expand on this. I can't be the only one who wants to know more about this app and how you use it.

IS there a good spreadsheet to download or did you make your own?I would liek to start doing this but not sure where to srtart.

I tried doing a spreadsheet that I wanted to print off, but I am not good at it. I wonder if I can buy one that I can use for my couponing.

Sorry to have kept everyone in suspense . . . but here's the APP that I've been using. It's called ShopSavvy and it's available at the iTunes App Store. I got it for FREE, but I'm not sure if it's FREE now. I think for the option to backup to your computer you need to pay $1.99. I currently have 14 different categories created and they have basic icons for you to assign to your categories. You can make your categories as detailed or as simple as you want because you are customizing it for your own usage! These are the categories that I have established so far:

• HBA
• Shaving
• Deodorant
• Laundry
• Snacks
• OTC
• Meds
• Body Care
• Hair Care
• Mouth Care
• Face Care
• Make-Up
• Breakfast

Every now and again it acts up when I create a category and thinks it's frozen. I just exit the app, then go back to it and it's fine. I can rearrange the above categories any way that I wish. Each of the above categories has a tabbed section with a number that indicates the number of different items I have in each category. I can also move the items around within each category as well. Once I scan the item with my iPhone camera, it locates the price of the item both online and locally. I am also given the option to add my own shopping location(s) and price. I think that the prices are added to an online database somewhere, but I'm not sure so I never add the price that I pay but the shelf price. I am then able to add custom fields. I decided that the field Storage made the most sense since I'm wanting to know how many of an item I have stored. A picture is automatically associated with the item or I can upload my own.

My ultimate goal is to transfer the info to a spreadsheet. everakuma was kind enough to share a link to hers and I've been slowly tweaking it to meet my needs. I made my own. I looked around google docs at other people's speadsheets, and just made up my own with excel.
