Well, before, you would have to have the ad with you. NOW, they will price match with "no proof"...Meaning, all the other ads for the week are at the service desk and if you tell them a price, they are supposed to be told all the deals and you won't need to show anything. So basically, for example, if you have toothpaste that is $2.50 at Wal-Mart, but on sale for $1.50 at Kroger, you say " Kroger has this for $1.50" and they have to match it!

At my store I just take the ad when I go to check out and show them the price before they ring it up. They wont do it if I dont have the other stores ad though, so always remember. But it must show what the final price is going to be. Like 4 cokes for $4.

My store also requires proof, such as the Ad from the other store, and I'm pretty sure Walmart policy says that it must state the price, not the discount, on the coupon. (For example, if Walgreen's has B1G1 for the same item, this would not count for the match. Your coupon would have to be a Walgreen's coupon or an ad from their circular (or perhaps the website) stating the item is on sale for $1, then Walmart would match the $1 price).
Walmart is a stickler for policy, so I would definately come prepared if you want to get the best deal! (Btw, they will NOT match the same price at another Walmart location....it must be a competitor's price to qualify for price matching). |
