I've been couponing for the last 5 weeks and now have a small stockpile. I'm trying to figure out where I can store some stuff. I have about 50 bottles of Nivea bodywash, 60 boxes of American Beauty Pasta, and countless number of toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, and razors. I'd like to know what is safe to store in my garage. I'm in Kansas and the summers get very hot! I'd love to store bodywash and some of the oral stuff in there but am afraid it would get ruined. Can anyone give me some tips on what should be safe to store in the garage versus keeping inside the home? Thanks for all the help! Happy couponing!

Great question- I know I have seen it on here before so I am sure you will get many good answers I do not have a garage so I have no clue!! I would assume that the Niva would be ok out there as well as any toothpast and toothbrushes and floss and razors... but I am sure there are people better to answer this question

I live in GA, so I know about heat. The plastic bottles might swell up a bit in the summer so I probably would not put them in the garage. I use the rubbermaid plastic drawer bins for all the bathroom stuff I've accumulated (they sit on the floor of my master closet). Also have a couple of the under the bed roll-out bins that work pretty well.

Another idea, If you have a hall closet, remove the coats and stuff and put in shelves. I did that to store all my kids school supplies in and I've never missed the hall closet.

i put mine stuff in the basement where its cool all year around,if u do not have a basement then use it in the garage like u say,if u have tubs with lids use those as much as u can to keep things out of them like bugs,cockroaches,i know all about Kansas i use to live there

Wow! I rearrange my shelves when space is tight and I need more. I don't have stockpiles cause I don't have space. I'm so glad you are able to do that!! Ive been couponing now for 6 weeks tomorrow and I still have issues getting the stuff I need for low prices. I'm just glad you did it gives me courage and hope to keep going!

I purchased cheap, but nice looking cabinets - one in the kitchen, and one in the hall upstairs and shelves in the laundry room. Once those are filled, I have no idea lol

The composition of liquids will deteriorate over time. I keep those things indoors on shelves in a spare room.

My DH had a file metal file cabinet w/4 drawers, deep drawers, i have about 60 bottles of Nivea body wash standing up in one drawer, dental products..toothpaste, brushes, floss, 1 liter bottles of Listerine along with 22 pkgs of Nivea bar soap in the 2nd, Razors, mens soap and deodorant in the 3rd, womens deodorant, razors lotion and other women products in the 4th, I need another...lol

Even in the smallest houses you can find room. I have my stockpile spread out throughout the house as I do not have a garage.

LOL'ing cuz Im visualizing "double stacking" the file cabinets !! or possibly lining 'em up side by side then cutting a piece of plywood to fit the tops of tne cabinets, to provide more storage space which leads me to purchasing a "track" to install to the ceiling with a library ladder to gain access to the very top filing cabinets which leads me to ,,,oh never mind !!
