You can chop them up or leave them whole. When I leave them whole, I poke them with a fork or knife in a few places, brush butter on them or just put a slice in, add some salt and wrap them in foil. Depending on the grill, heat and size of the potatoes, they can take 20 minutes or so to cook (sometimes longer). If you do chop them, just add butter and seasonings that you like and wrap them up.

I slice mine into sliced but not all the way thru, leave the potato skin intact along bottom. Then cover with thin sliced onions and pats of butter. Wrap tight in tin foil, I'd say they take a good 30 mins anyway! Good luck, my fave way to make them!

If your rushed for time you can nuke them first in microwave. You can chop them lengthwise and use seasonings, I like tony cacheree's, or make pocket with foil and put butter and garlic; I like them rolled in foil and put right on grill with meats (like the way it bakes the potato) Usually takes as long as it takes to cook meat. ( I would nuke them for a few minutes first to make them really soft)

My dad used to make the best! he would make a huge foil packet thingy. Leave the skin on and cut them in chunks. He would put all kinds of veggies in there too. Fresh squash, zuchinni, onions, etc... Then add you seasonings like salt, pepper, garlic, butter etc... I don't know how long they need to cook, but if you close up the packet thingy they steam and cook quicker.
"The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed." Titus 2:3-5 "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." I chop mine up the smaller the less cooking time in the packet with a little onion and garlic powder some butter if they fairly small =hubby says he puts the packet on the upper grate for about 20 mins. Then when they are done put in a bowl and add shredded cheese, stir. I like sharp cheddar. I also have a small bowl of bacon or bacon bits and sour cream for those like those added.
