Happy You Know You're On a Budget When....

Dave brings us this article today:
You Know You're on a Budget When… - daveramsey.com

Being on a budget doesnít mean you canít have fun and even make fun of yourself a little bit!
Dave's Facebook fans shared some obvious signs that you might be on a budget Ė so many, in fact, that we didnít have room to note all of the best ones here! Check out some of the hilarious responses, and see how many you can relate with.
Kristen: Your four-year-old asks, "Mommy do we have a coupon for this?" about any item she wants to buy in the grocery store!
Stephen: When you're reading this in your father-in-lawís driveway because you have to glom off of his wi-fi.
Leslie: When you use a coupon for a free hamburger from Mc Donald's and then come home and put your own piece of cheese on it!
Carrie: When you find yourself saying "Dave would not want me to buy that!" and then walk away.
Travis: Your kids are constantly ticked off at Dave Ramsey!
Kirsten: School supplies become birthday presents.
Jeff: You have all the local supermarket ads spread out on the kitchen table, and you begin to strategize your coupons like you're about to invade Normandy.
Micki: You get one leg waxed at a time.
Natalie: You ask yourself, How many shifts will I have to work to pay for this?
Jondelyn: You search on the internet for recipes with ingredients in your pantry.
Jay: Everyone around you thinks you are crazy.
Michelle: When, you're shopping with the kids, the three-year-old asks for something and the seven-year-old tells him, "It's not in the budget."
Will: When you notice George Washington squint at the sunlight when you pull a dollar out of your wallet.
Ashlee: When your five-year-old asks, "What is a mall?"
Sarah: Your kids get $5 in a card and you're jealous.
Gary: When you don't go out and spend money on Friday night, but instead stay in and list stuff to sell on eBay.
Lisa: The liquid soap in your bathroom is milk 'n' honey-orange-vanilla-coconut-cherry-watermelon-apple-lemon scented, because you just can't bear to throw that little bit in the bottom of the bottle away.
Lorien: When your five-year-old makes her own coupons to play store with!
Kelly: When you really "get" all the posts on this thread and have laughed out loud several times reading them!

What do ya'll have to add? Which ones do you agree/not agree with?

"The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed." Titus 2:3-5

"For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." Titus 2: 11-14

When you are trying to train your new kitties to come when they are called, so you can let them outside so you don't have to pay for litter...

And yes, I am doing this right now. Currently, they will come when they hear me shake the bag of treats. Working on their names...

I love this one. My hubby rolls his eyes because I always refill our hand soaps with the free bodywash I get. Soap is soap right??

I know my kids understand we are on a budget when my 7yr old gets excited finding a Catalina blowing around on the ground! The last one scored me some cheap Creamette pasta this week at Kroger!!

Glad I'm not the only one to do the bodywash in the hand soap dispenser I use the suave stuff because i have eczema and it breaks my skin out. Surprisingly though it doesn't bother my hands.
My family always tells me they don't want to go to the store with me. I am the crazy coupon lady, lol.

I use dishwashing detergent (i.e. Dawn, Gain, etc.) for hand liquid soap in my bath and kitchen soap dispensers. It is alot cheaper when it free or nearly free right?

Its so funny that i should read this today! This morning I caught my 2 year old son playing with "poocons" (lol coupons) that were really just blank index cards. He was trying to stuff them into a movie box that I can only assume was his pretend binder.
