Prayer train...
I know many churches have Prayer chains; however, I was thinking we could have a Prayer train...
The reason for this post is because I just wanted to say how much I appreciate all the prayers received through friends, family, and those here who have offered their prayers. Each one of us has difficulties in our lives and, if like me, you get to a certain point and it's hard to see the blessings that are in your life on a daily basis.
A local church hosted an event today called "Labor of Love". They had a free garage sale, groceries, manicures, pedicures, haircuts for kids, movies/child care, and hamburgers and hot dogs. Myself and my 4 kids got there around 10:15; it was to start at 10. People were leaving with bags and boxes full of clothes, toys, etc. There were so many people, it was a little nerve wracking for me; I do not like crowds.
I ended up having to leave as soon as we got there because my shoe broke. Upon returning, the person that greeted me was very nice; something odd these days. I found my kids and we looked through the clothing that they had. I was a little disappointed because we couldn't really find much. I feel bad for my oldest son because we couldn't find anything for him.
Before leaving, or when I wanted to leave, we went in and got a box of groceries. I knew several of the people in there and felt so awkward about it. However, to my surprise, as we were walking to our truck, another lady I knew from several years ago, stopped me and gave me a gift card to the grocery store.
Normally, I don't cry; but today, I did.
I wanted to share this because even though times are hard, we are all still blessed. Whether it be the 5.00 coffee maker at the thrift store - which I got a couple of weeks ago; or having the funds to pay a bill, I am truly blessed.
My prayers are with each and everyone of you!!!
God Bless!!!
